Hi everyone 🍃☀️

This week’s isn’t about something I felt, it’s about something I noticed.

This tree stump in our beautiful Littlemoor nature reserve has quietly become a small sanctuary.

In its trunk creatures shelter from the wind.
In its bark, tiny insects find safety.
At its roots, small creatures move unseen beneath the leaves.

It sat there so steadily, offering calm and protection without asking for anything in return.

It made me think about how often nature creates spaces of refuge, not just for us, but for countless living things we rarely notice.

Sometimes calm isn’t loud or dramatic.
Sometimes it’s simply being rooted, steady, and quietly present.

If you’ve spotted a place in nature that feels like a little sanctuary, I’d love to hear about it using 🍃

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in Friends of Littlemoor Nature Reserve for helping to take care of our beautiful park and the creatures who live there and creating a space where we can all find .

Wishing you a steady week,
Rebecca

Hi everyone 🍃

Yesterday, on a rainy walk along the Bingley Canal, we paused when my daughter discovered a patch of bright green moss glistening with rain.

She reached up above the dry stone wall, running her fingers over it, completely absorbed by the soft, wet texture and the way the droplets made it sparkle.

I watched her for a few moments and realised how easy it is to miss these tiny wonders when we’re rushing.
Yet pausing, even for a few seconds, can bring a sense of calm and presence that lingers long after we’ve moved on.

Sometimes our isn’t a big event, it’s the feel of moss under our fingers, the smell of rain, or the quiet light reflecting off the canal.

If you notice a small moment that brings calm this week, feel free to share it with ☔️

Just a gentle invitation to pause and notice.

Hi everyone 🌿

On a recent evening walk to the shops we found calm in the smallest of places - droplets of rain caught on a railing, glowing under the streetlights.

My 6 year old daughter held her hand beneath them as if she’d discovered something magical. And in a way, she had.

When we pause to really notice light, texture, colour - our minds shift.
We move out of rushing and into observing.

Even a few seconds of noticing can soften the edges of a busy day.

If you’d like to, share one small thing you’ve noticed this week using 🌧️

Just a gentle invitation to pause.

Hi everyone 🌿
You may remember a few days ago I posted a picture of some lovely flowers my 6 year old found on a walk which in turn brightened up her day.
Many of you commented on my post saying how much this inspired you to take a few moments to notice the world around you and find one calm thing to brighten up your day.
As a result I am looking into developing a community around this so we can share the small but meaningful joys that nature brings us. If you feel this would benefit you please like and add your one moment of joy to this post using the
My own Calm moment happened yesterday whilst, looking out of my window when I spotted this fox quietly sitting in my garden enjoying its own mindful moment.
I wasn’t expecting it at all, and for a moment everything just slowed down.
It got me thinking about how even tiny moments in nature can lift our mood or bring a sense of peace, even when we’re busy or stuck indoors.

Please feel free to share one calm thing you notice in nature by posting a photo or a few words with .
No pressure at all , just a gentle moment to pause.

I’ll start with my unexpected fox visitor 🦊

Hi everyone🌸
Yesterday I was out walking with my daughter when she picked up some fallen flowers on the ground yesterday. She stopped and said “oh aren’t these beautiful mummy! They make me feel happy when it’s raining like it is today.”
We stopped and looked at them admiring all the little raindrops of the petals …a calm moment I didn’t know I needed.

I’m a CBT therapist and I’m really interested in how small moments in nature can support our mental health, especially at this time of year.

After a chat on our walk home my little girl said “Mummy we should tell other people to notice things in nature, it might make them feel happy while the weather is so wet and cold.”….and so we wondered if anyone fancied joining in today by sharing one calm thing you notice in nature that cheers you up or gives you a sense of peace - it could be something you spot on a short walk, in the garden, or even through your window.

If you’d like to join in, post a photo (or just a few words) with the hash tag . No pressure, just a gentle moment to pause.

🌸Please, please share this with others so we can create a community of positivity.🌸

I’ll start with our flowers we found on our wet foggy walk 🌼
