The School Immunisation Team will be commencing the HPV Campaign W/C 26.1.26

The HPV vaccine is offered to young people in Year 8 (aged 12–13) and helps protect against a common virus that can sometimes lead to certain cancers, including: ▪Cervical ▪Anal▪ Pe**le Cancers & ge***al Warts.
Getting vaccinated at this age gives the best protection before any possible exposure to HPV.

🚨Parents & Carers – HPV Vaccination🚨

If you have a child in YEAR 8 please look out for information regarding the HPV vaccine from your child's school this may be an email/text/ school app message. It will include a link to the online electronic HPV form & a unique code for your child's school.

Please respond as soon as you can – yes or no, we need a reply either way.

The HPV vaccine is offered to children in Year 8 (aged 12–13) and helps protect against a common virus that can sometimes lead to certain cancers, including:
▪Cervical
▪Anal
▪Mouth
▪Pe**le
▪Vulval
▪Vaginal cancer
It can also prevent ge***al warts.

Getting vaccinated at this age gives the best protection before any possible exposure to HPV.

What is the impact of the HPV Vaccination in the UK 👇👇

🌍More than 80 million people have been vaccinated against HPV worldwide since 2008.

💉Over 10 million doses of HPV vaccines have been given in the UK in over 10 years.

🚺Cervical cancer rates have been reduced by almost 90% in women in their 20s who were offered the HPV vaccination at age 12 and 13 years in England, when compared with an unvaccinated population.

The School Immunisation Team will be commencing the HPV ( Cancer Preventing Vaccine ) campaign in schools for the current YEAR 8 students WC 26.1.26 .

The HPV Vaccine is offered to both Boys & Girls in Year 8 to protect them against high risk cancers including Cervical , a**l and ge***al cancers & ge***al warts .

Parents/Carers you will be receiving more information from your child's school on how to complete a electronic consent/refusal form .

The School Immunisation Team will be visiting some of our school’s again W/C 19.1.26 offering catch up sessions for the Flu vaccinations 🤧to children from Reception up to and including Year 11.

Children can catch and spread flu easily. Vaccinating them also protects others who are vulnerable to flu, such as babies and older people. 🤒

The flu nasal spray is quick and pain free. 😍

The team also offers a porcine (pork gelatine) free alternative flu injection for children.

The Bradford School Immunisation Team offer two types of the Flu vaccine to all School-Aged children REC-YR11 :

The Nasal Flu Spray which is quick and pain free (contains Pork Gelatin ) &
The Flu Injection which does NOT contain Pork Gelatin .

Its not too late to get your School- Age (Rec-YR11 ) child vaccinated against flu, the team are still carrying out some school catch ups or community clinic appointments .
