Years ago I was injured in a car accident. I had severe neck injuries that were treated at the time and improved slightly.
Over time, I would have periods where the pain would increase. These occasions would become more frequent and more intense until I reached the point where I was in permanent, crippling pain, 24/7.
The doctor prescribed me strong painkillers, of which I have been taking the maximum dosage for over 10 years. Along with a concoction of other pain relief medication and various intrusive, painful medical procedures including having my nerve endings burnt off and Botox injections in my head.
I have tied a variety of other therapies over the years too- massage, acupuncture, physiotherapy, etc...
Nothing worked. Not only did I have constant pain, but I was also starting to feel very depressed that I would have this for the rest of my life.
