My Story

Hello! My name is Matt, I am a freelance illustrator, artist, and graphic designer. I have been drawing and sketching for over 20 years. I was forever doodling as a kid, and most of my school books were covered in drawings of dragons or scribbled rocketships.

I love comic book art and am hugely influenced by some of the comic book world’s titans such as Todd McFarlane, J Scott Campbell, Jim Lee and the likes of Disney and Warner Brothers style animation art. I’m also a huge fan of caricatures and my style steers more towards that of MAD Magazine, Tom Richmond and Mort Drucker.

As an illustrator I cover a wide range of styles from hand-drawn illustration to vector-based artwork and corporate design, cartoons to infographics and branding suites. I mainly like to use pencil and ink to start my work often finishing up with some photoshop.

I pride myself on really bringing to life the vision my clients have in their minds allowing them to tell their story. Some of my selected clients have included: Leeds Beckett University; Haworth Steam Brewery, Tear Away Spirit, Swift Solutions (The Lowry Hotel), Louise Perry Bridal, Faye Hall Design, Yorkshire Yoga Pilates and Piercing Looks to name a few.
