Yet another congratulations is in order to our third year student midwife Joan who reached her landmark 40th birth facilitated earlier this month!
Joan actually facilitated both her very first birth and now her 40th on our birth centre, such a full circle moment! Big congratulations again🤍

We welcomed 43 babies into the world on our birth centre last month with the girls outnumbering the boys🩷💙

Our lovely cohort of third year student midwives are almost finished with their training!
Here is Mariama and Charlotte who both facilitated their 40th birth (a national requirement to finish their training) on the birth centre this week!

Congratulations to all families who welcomed their baby last month! And an especially big congratulations to our lovely birth centre colleague Candice who welcomed her baby boy with us💙🤍

Sadly our birth numbers for the month reflect the struggles and closures we faced, we hope all who were planning to birth with us who couldn't still had a wonderful experience!

Soph welcomed her 3rd baby on the birth centre 13th August 2024🤍

Being mobile in labour has so many benefits for both your comfort and to aid labour progression! We encourage you to mobilise and have various pieces of equipment to help with this, such as our birthing pools, birthing balls, hanging cloths and floor mats. These are not always in every room when you are first transferred to us so please ask if you would like any🤍
