“I don’t know what I feel”
is actually a very advanced emotional state.
Because at least you noticed…
that you don’t know.
Which is already more awareness
than most of us had in 2007.
So we keep it simple:
Where is it in the body?
(We start with geography.)
Two words.
(Not a full TED Talk. Just two.)
“Makes sense.”
(Shockingly powerful. Slightly suspicious at first.)
Wait 20 seconds.
(Your nervous system will file the paperwork.)
—
Feelings don’t need to be solved.
They just need to be acknowledged
so they can stop yelling.
—
Emotional intelligence is less about having the perfect words
and more about staying long enough to notice what’s real.
—
And if you want to help others do this —
to sit with feelings, name them, and move through them with care…
