Call for knitted bears or bonding hearts! ๐Ÿงธ๐Ÿงถ๐Ÿฉต

Weโ€™re working alongside our Safeguarding Midwives Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS FT on a very special project to create 120 Memory Boxes for the 60 babies and parents who are separated at birth in Bradford each year.

These boxes are intended to offer comfort and a sense of connection for both the baby and their parents during an incredibly emotional and challenging time.

For many, early separation can leave a profound sense of loss that may stay with them into adulthood. Through these memory boxes, we hope to provide something meaningful that helps foster a sense of belonging and connection as these babies move forward in life.

We would like each box to include small, gentle items that symbolise bonding, love, and care. We are reaching out to our knitting community to ask if they would be willing to knit or crochet small teddy bears.

Please email charity@bthft.nhs.uk or phone 01274 274809 and weโ€™ll send you the patterns! ๐Ÿ’œ

Bringing a little Easter magic to our NICU siblings! ๐Ÿฐ

Itโ€™s so important to remember the big brothers and sisters during their hospital visits. These eggs and activity books help turn such worry into happier memories.

Thank you so much Bradford Hospitals Charity and all the local business who supported the hospitals with easter eggs! ๐Ÿฃ

Can you in support Bradford District and Craven Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership by filling in a quick survey?

Did your baby spent time on a Neonatal Unit?
We would love to hear from you!

We are exploring different ways and ideas of gathering feedback from families who have had a neonatal experience.

Your feedback will help us understand
- If families would be interested in attending events and how they would like these to look
- What type of venue would work best
- What kind of events would you find most enjoyable

This survey is quick and easy to complete and your voice really does matter.

Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts and help us to create a space for neonatal families to come together.

A massive shoutout to Sovereign Health Care for their incredibly generous donation to our Home from Home project. This takes us significantly closer to our ยฃ3 million goal!

We are over the moon and so grateful for this support. Stay tuned for more updates as we move closer to breaking ground! ๐Ÿ

Weโ€™ve hit a HUGE milestone!

Sovereign Health Care has generously donated ยฃ250,000 to our โ€˜Home from Homeโ€™ Appeal, taking it over the ยฃ2 million mark! ๐ŸŽ‰

This brings us a giant step closer to building our brand new, on site family accommodation for parents with babies receiving specialist care in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ’›

The new facility will provide a calm, safe and comfortable place for families Bradford Neonatal Service to stay close to their newborns when they need it most.

A massive thank you to Sovereign Health Care for their incredible generosity and long standing commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of families across Bradford.

Together, weโ€™re creating a brighter, more compassionate future for our tiniest patients - and the people who love them. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿก

They say it takes a village, and our neonatal unit felt the love this Mothering Sunday. ๐Ÿ’œ

A massive thank you to Lillie's Grace Bradford Hospitals Charity and From Our Hearts To Yours for their incredibly kind donation of Motherโ€™s Day gifts for our mummy's. Being away from home and often the important celebrations is so hard, but these beautiful gifts brought so many smiles (and a few happy tears)

Thank you for remembering our strongest little fighters and the amazing women who stand by them. Your kindness makes a world of difference. ๐ŸŒธ
