Simple Sundays: The Magic of a Cardboard Tube! ♻️🎨

Welcome back to ! We know that weekends can sometimes feel like a whirlwind of planning, but we are here to show that

Big Fun ≠ Big Plans.

Today’s inspiration comes straight from the recycling bin! We’ve taken simple cardboard tubes, sliced them into rings, and paired them with bright paint sticks and paper. It’s amazing to watch how something so basic turns into a morning of colorful construction and weaving.

The Benefits for Little Acorns: 🌳

* Fine Motor Focus: Picking up, stacking, and threading these small rings is a fantastic workout for tiny finger muscles.

* Color Recognition: Using paint sticks to decorate individual rings helps children identify and experiment with different shades.

Today me and my littles used the play mats as pretend trampolining and when that ran out we used it to roll balls down.

Dino-Dig on a Budget! 🦖🚜

Looking for a quick, low-cost activity that keeps little ones engaged for ages? Today we turned a kitchen cupboard staple into a prehistoric construction site!

By using expired oats, a few toy dinosaurs, and construction vehicles, we created a multisensory "dig site" that is as easy to set up as it is to tidy away.

Why we love this "Kitchen Cupboard" Play:

• Sustainability: It’s a fantastic way to use up expired dry goods like oats, rice, or pasta rather than throwing them away. ♻️

• Sensory Discovery: The texture of the oats provides a wonderful tactile experience as kids pour, scoop, and "bury" their toys.

We are so proud to be launching Young Acorns right here in our local area! 📍 When we were looking for the perfect home for our "Acorns" to grow, we knew we wanted a space that was already at the heart of the neighborhood.

That’s why we are absolutely thrilled to announce that we are hiring our hall from the wonderful Sandale Community Trust!
