Living with COPD? Join our Research Study

We're conducting a clinical study for individuals with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). This research aims to evaluate an investigational medication for COPD treatment.

You may qualify if you:

· Are between 40-80 years old

· Have been diagnosed with COPD for 1+ year

· Have a smoking history (current or former)

· Experienced 2+ COPD exacerbations or 1 hospitalization in the past year

· Currently take daily COPD medication Interested in Participating?

Our CRDC Industry Day has started with John Wright, Director of Research Bradford Institute for Health Research, talking about the importance of clinical research.

We then heard from Mel Pickip, CEO of Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS FT Talking about the amazing research the CRDC does with communities in Bradford helping to get the involved in our research.

Our Director Dinesh Saralaya next spoke about the successes of the CRDC in the first year highlighting the global and UK firsts we have had due to great partnerships with Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust and Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, a partner of the NIHR Bradford and West Yorkshire Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC), is proud to be working alongside Conexus Healthcare, Wakefield’s GP Federation - to support an exciting new clinical study.

By bringing together our Research and Innovation Team with colleagues in primary care, this collaboration is helping deliver cutting-edge research closer to local people, making it easier for patients to take part and helping shape the future of healthcare.

📢 Exciting news for patients in West Yorkshire!

Our partner site, Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, has recruited the first patient in Europe to a major international clinical trial looking at new treatments for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

The study aims to find ways to reduce flare-ups and improve quality of life for people with COPD. If you’re aged 40–80, have COPD, and are a current or former smoker, you may be eligible to take part.
