A routine should be designed around YOUR skin (not someone else’s TikTok trend)

Building a skincare routine from scratch doesn’t have to feel overwhelming

With SO many products on the market, it’s easy to spend money on things you don’t actually need + end up with a routine that isn’t right for your skin

As a skincare specialist, my advice is always to start simple and get the foundations right

A gentle cleanser, a hydrating moisturiser, + daily SPF are the building blocks of healthy skin

Once your skin is comfortable + consistent with those, you can add in treatments like serums or exfoliants to target specific concerns

But before you invest in anything, it’s SO important to understand your skin type (oily, dry, combination, sensitive) + your individual concerns (acne, pigmentation, ageing, dehydration)

My final golden rule is to have patience because skincare is not an overnight fix

Your skin cells renew every 28–40 days, so it takes time to see results (if you can wait 3 months for that man to change, you can give your skincare time to work)

Consistency is key!! stick with your products for at least 6–8 weeks before deciding if they work for you

is it gross that I was quite literally salivating at the sight of the dead skin cells + fake tan build up I got from this dermaplaning session? (swipe for a close up!)

Honestly the build up that came off was next level 🤤 dead skin, peach fuzz, old skincare, SPF and tan remnants… GONE. The smoothest base you could ask for!
