Care Manager required for Braintree based Care Provider
Must have NVQ Level 4 / 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent diploma)
Must drive and have own vehicle
Part time hours
09:30 a.m. to 14:30 p.m.
Mon, Wed, Fri (to suit your schedule)
(15 hours per week)

Annual leave entitlement 5.6 weeks (pro rata)
Seeking professional person with required learning achievement to manage and oversee day to day operation of domiciliary care service.
What we require
Applicant will be required to;
• Have previous experience in a managerial role within a care home or domiciliary care provider.
• Have previous experience in a role that demonstrates provision of care in an adult social care setting.
• Have good communication skills, verbally and written, in order to interact and communicate effectively with those that use the service, their families and other health care professionals in order to facilitate the care required.
• Manage and oversee recruitment of care staff, developing the care skills of others through individual learning achievements promoted by the company in order to ensure effective delivery of care.
• Have good leadership skills with ability to demonstrate an active ‘hands on’ role supporting those that provide the care service.
• Undertake daily observation of the care provided by other care staff and, where necessary take necessary action to ensure that the service provided by the company, remains safe, caring, effective, responsive and well led.
• Demonstrate good I.T. skills
• Provide audit of observation, supervision and ongoing development of staff to the Directors on a regular basis and/or as necessary.
• Maintain good organizational skills
Responsibilities
Applicant will be required to;
• Liaise with local commissioning teams and regulatory bodies to ensure that the care service provided by the company maintains high standards and continues to remain compliant with all fundamental standards of care
• Manage assessment of care, speaking with service users and their family creating a plan of care to best suit the changing needs and requirements of those that use the service.
• Demonstrate good leadership and support to care staff and those that deliver the care
• Manage regular assessment and audit of care, maintaining record of care in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Manage and oversee regular review and audit of medication administered to those that use the service.
• Ensure that all care services are delivered in accordance with company policies and procedures whilst also meeting standards set within Health and Social Care Act.
Requirements
Successful applicant will be required to have NVQ Level 4 / 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent)
CQC Registration as a Registered Care Manager
Enhanced DBS check
Successful applicant will also be required to demonstrate good understanding of the following;-

Statutory Responsibilities:
• To ensure that the company complies with its CQC Regulations, The Care Act 2014, Fundamental Standards of Care, The Health and Social Care Act 2008 and any other relevant legislation or regulations.

• To uphold the fiduciary duty invested in the position, undertaking such duties in a way that adds to public trust and confidence in the company.
• To contribute actively to the Board’s role in giving firm strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals, setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets.
