High blood pressure is more common than you think and can affect anyone of any age. Because there are no symptoms or clues you might be unaware that your health may be at risk from complications like heart attack or stroke.

Here at Freshwell Heath Centre we are supporting this NHS Campaign asking our patients to check their BP and it really does only take a sec to check - you don't need an appointment as we have a fully automated BP machine in our reception area. Next time your passing drop in, use the machine and leave your record with our Reception Team and we will update your records for you!

Understand the importance of a blood pressure check. Regular monitoring can prevent hypertension and serious health issues.

Small checks make a big difference

Here at Freshwell Health Centre we have a dedicated service offering annual physical health checks to patients who may be experiencing mental health challenges and would benefit from additional support.

These checks allow you to talk with a health professional about anything concerning your physical health, address any physical issues you may have and, by taking your blood pressure and arranging a blood test, can guide you in ways to improve your lifestyle.

Our SMI Team are busy contacting eligible patients for their health check but if you think you may qualify and have not yet been contacted or have declined in the past and would now like to take part, please do speak to our Reception Team on 01371 810328 and we can arrange an appointment for you.
