A wonderful trip to The Summer & Christmas Show, Clacton yesterday. Lunch at Toby Carvery and entertainment in the afternoon, our residents had an amazing time.

Today marks the 80th anniversary of VJ Day - Victory over Japan Day..

Our craft ladies have been busy making a beautiful display and each resident will receive a ration box with a chocolate in commemoration.

Our 'Summer of Stall's event is underway! It started on Monday 11th and will go through until Sunday 17th August. A new stall every day! A chance for our residents to have a browse and pick up a wonderful crafted gift for any future celebrations.

National Friendship Day was held at the beginning of August and in celebration, our wonderful craft group ladies have been busy making beautiful friendship bracelets. Our Restaurant area was also decorated to advertise this very special day.

We see friendships being made every day here at The Hawthorns Braintree and as we have such wonderful residents living here, there is the option of a 'buddy' when somebody moves in if they feel they need a friend to show them around when they first arrive. This makes all the difference as it can sometimes be a bit overwhelming moving into a community.

A wonderful event on Sunday at our Classic Car day. A beautiful arrangement of vintage cars came to visit which sparked lots of interest from our residents and guests. Thank you to all car owners who took the time to spend the day at to show off their wonderful vehicle.

The Hawthorns Clevedon recently hosted an incredible "Taste of Somerset" event, uniting residents, families, friends, and the local community in North Somerset!

Over 300 guests enjoyed cider, Cheddar strawberries, and elderflower fizz in the sunny seafront setting.🍓

The Miscellany Choir and Barnacle Buoys provided beautiful local music, while attendees indulged in a delicious BBQ lunch, local cheeses, and traditional ice cream. 🍦

Stallholders showcased Somerset products, and Clevedon Care volunteers added to the festive spirit.

Customer Services Manager, Aggie Jasinski, praised the event, highlighting the outstanding food, music, and community spirit. A massive thank you to all who made the day memorable! 🌞🧀🍏
