FELSTED HOUSE NEWS - Our Charity dance on Saturday night at the Felsted Memorial Hall was hugely successful, very busy and we all had an amazing time.

We wanted to say a massive thank you to Margarets’ son John who initially came up with the idea for his band “So Yesterday” to perform for us so we could raise funds to change all our chairs at the dining room table. The band funded the event, all the printing and very kindly Margaret paid for the hire of the Memorial Hall, so all the money that was raised came directly to us. John also managed to get other performers to donate their singing talent on Saturday.
We raised a total of over £1200.00 on ticket sales and over £400.00 on the raffle.

I am eternally grateful to John and his brother Paul for all of their very hard work in putting this event on, it is very much appreciated.

I wanted to thank everyone who attended, and I know some people travelled over 200 miles, so again thank you.

HOUSE SENIOR - Wickham House, Coggeshall Road, Braintree.
The successful applicant will be required to provide home cooked meals for the residents and to ensure the smooth running of the house when on duty/in absence of the Manager.
Applicants should be organised, team players who are patient, friendly and good at dealing with older people and their families.
Start Date: 20th April 2026
Shift pattern:
Week One - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday
Week Two - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Hours 7.45 am - 1.15pm each shift
Good rates of pay to be discussed at interview.
