This afternoon, some of our wonderful residents from St Mary's Court Care Home took a heartfelt and meaningful trip to visit the memorial bench dedicated to Keith Flint at St. Mary's Church, Bocking 🎶

Set against a calm and beautiful day, the visit became a moment of reflection, connection, and shared memories. As they sat together, stories were exchanged, music was remembered, and there was a deep appreciation for the energy and spirit Keith brought to the world through The Prodigy

There was something incredibly moving about being there, a quiet space filled with emotion, where our residents could pause, reflect, and honour a life that left such a powerful mark on music and culture. The gentle surroundings, the togetherness, and the shared respect made it a truly special afternoon 💟

It was a beautiful way to remember a true legend, whose music continues to resonate, inspire, and live on in so many hearts 🕊️❤️

We’d like to give a special shout out to our wonderful local vicar, Father Rod, from St. Mary's Church, Bocking who many of our wonderful residents know well.

Father Rod visits St Mary’s Court regularly to hold services, and he is always incredibly generous with his time. Whether it’s leading a service, spending time chatting with residents, or coming in at short notice when someone would like spiritual support, he is always there when we need him.

This year, Father Rod is taking on an incredible challenge and will be running the TCS London Marathon to raise funds for the fantastic charity Mid and North East Essex Mind, which provides vital support for people experiencing mental health challenges in our community.

We’re so proud to support him and the wonderful work of this charity. If you would like to cheer Father Rod on or make a donation, you can find his fundraising page here:

🎬🌟 What a wonderful day out for our residents at St Mary's Court Care Home 🌟🎬

This week, our lovely residents enjoyed a special trip to Cineworld Braintree to watch the timeless classic Wuthering Heights. From the moment we arrived, there was a real sense of excitement in the air. Outings like these are always something to look forward to, and this one certainly did not disappoint 😁

As the film began, residents were captivated by the beautiful storytelling and dramatic romance unfolding on screen. For many, it brought back fond memories of watching classic films in years gone by, perhaps on a first date or during a cherished family evening. Laughter, nostalgia, and thoughtful conversations followed, with residents sharing their reflections and favourite moments from the story. It was so special to see how a timeless tale can still spark connection and discussion across generations. 🎥✨

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the team at Cineworld Braintree for their warm welcome and kindness, helping to make the experience comfortable and enjoyable for everyone !

Days like this are about so much more than a trip to the cinema. They are about community, shared experiences, and creating new memories together 🍿 💟

We are so grateful to the Training 2 Care UK Ltd team for sharing their knowledge and passion with us. Investing in this kind of learning ensures we continue to provide compassionate, person centred care that makes a real difference to our residents and their families 🥰

Over the years, we are proud to share that we St Mary's Court Care Home have supported the incredible Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund! 🎉

The fund works tirelessly to support children with cancer and their families, providing emotional, practical and financial help during the most challenging times. From special memory-making experiences and family days out, to wellbeing support and bringing moments of joy through music and activities, they make a real difference when it’s needed most. 💛

From brave team members taking on skydives in the past, to our regular fundraising events throughout the year, we always strive to play our part and give back. ❤️

This year has been extra special with our “Guess the Name of the Bear” game, where we raised an amazing £50 to help bring music and joy to children and their families. 🐻🎶

A huge congratulations to Beverley for guessing the winning name, Rupert! And what a lovely gesture to pass the bear on to Cheryl, who shares that special name with her great nephew. 💖

Thank you to everyone who has supported this wonderful cause. Your generosity truly helps brighten the lives of children and families facing incredibly difficult journeys. 🌟

Let’s keep the spirit of giving alive and continue supporting our local charities. Together, we can help create a brighter future for those who need it most. 🙌

We would like to say a huge thank you to Healthwatch Essex for our amazing new slippers 🥿 ❤️
Our lovely residents took part in a free slipper event St Mary's Court Care Home where they got to unbox and even try on the slippers as a fun and enjoyable event!

The free slipper event allowed residents to enjoy the excitement of unboxing stylish and comfy new slippers all from the joys of their home. This event being bought into the home made it so practical and flexible for our lovely residents which they appreciated so much! We all loved getting to know the people from Healthwatch Essex and asking them about their products, never thought you could know so much about slippers ! 😆

Something as simple as well-fitting slippers can help reduce the risk of falls, keep feet warm, and give residents greater confidence when moving around their home. Most importantly, it brings a little extra comfort to everyday life.
The purpose of this event was to provide safe and comfortable new slippers for our residents. Residents were also given a chance to speak to the wonderful information and guidance service as well as the carers voices team! 💟

Seeing the smiles and hearing how much they’re appreciated reminds us that wellbeing is often found in the small details. Thank you for inviting us to be part of this wonderful project, our residents are over the moon 😍
