If you are looking for a residential care home in Braintree, The New Deanery combines high quality care with luxury accommodation at our beautiful and historic home, set in ten acres of glorious grounds. The New Deanery, owned by Sonnet Care Homes, can be a home for life for our residents, who we care for through ups and downs. If our residents require more specialist care our sister home, St Mary’s Court, is right next door. Our residents have the support of a much higher than average number of staff 24 hours a day, all of whom are carefully selected and trained to provide as much or as little care and support as individual residents require. 🌟✨ This Bonfire Night, our wonderful residents at The New Deanery care home lit up the evening with sparklers, creating a magical atmosphere filled with joy and laughter!

As the sparks danced in the night sky, cherished memories came flooding back of times spent with loved ones, festive gatherings, and the warmth of community spirit.

It was heartwarming to see smiles all around as we reminisced about the beautiful moments shared over the years. 🥰

Here’s to celebrating not only the dazzling displays but also the memories that continue to brighten our hearts! 💖

Help us spread some festive cheer this by donating a toy, game or book to our toy drive!

If you can spare a gift for a child, please pop along to The New Deanery care home and ask for Gerald or Jo anytime between now and 6th December. Our collection of donated gifts will be hand delivered, by none other than Father Christmas himself, and are guaranteed to raise a few smiles.

🎃👻 Spooktacular fun at The New Deanery care home this Halloween!

Our residents had an amazing time showcasing their creativity through pumpkin designing — transforming ordinary pumpkins into beautiful works of art. 🖌️✨

The Halloween disco was a huge hit, filled with laughter, dancing, and festive spirit! Everyone got into the groove, showing off their favourite costumes and best dance moves. 🕺💃

To top off the celebrations, our pottery activity gave residents the chance to craft and paint unique Halloween-themed creations. Each piece tells a story and adds a personal touch to our home. 🏺🎉

It’s truly heartwarming to see our community come together to celebrate, create, and enjoy the festive spirit of Halloween! 🎊❤️

It was a fantastic night had by all! 🎉 Congratulations to the winning team, The M&M's, who received £50 worth of shopping vouchers 🛍️. A big thank you to the kitchen for the lovely spread 🍽️ and the activities team for organising such a fun evening.

Together, we raised £205 for Harvey’s Heroes 💖.

We’d love for you to join us for a fun-filled evening, all in support of Harvey’s Heroes! Come along, test your knowledge, enjoy some great company, and help us raise funds for a fantastic cause.💜

On October 24th from 6:00pm, we’re proud to be hosting a Quiz Night in support of Harvey’s Heroes, raising funds for 17-year-old Harvey from , who is bravely fighting a rare bone cancer – Osteosarcoma.
Harvey’s family set up Harvey’s Heroes to raise awareness, share his journey, and support his ongoing treatment. 💛
