In moments of stress, anxiety, or overwhelm, grounding can help bring you back into your body and the present moment.

Here’s a quick way to ground yourself: ✨ Step outside — barefoot if you can. ✨ Take a few deep belly breaths. ✨ Notice 5 things you can see, 4 you can touch, 3 you can hear, 2 you can smell, and 1 you can taste. ✨ Breathe. Be. Anchor into now.

Whether it’s standing on the earth, connecting with your breath, or simply sipping a warm cup of tea with awareness — grounding brings us home.

I had the lovely Ash join me on my class last week!

Did you know... laughter and crying have the same release effect on the body?

Last week during my meditation class, we explored something truly powerful: laughter yoga. It may sound silly at first—but the benefits are deep.

When we laugh, our bodies release tension, boost feel-good hormones, and even access the same emotional pathways as crying. So next time you feel the weight of pain or stress… try laughing instead of crying. Let it out with a giggle, a chuckle, or even a big belly laugh. 💛

It's not about denying how we feel, but allowing the release to come through joy instead of sorrow.

Laughter really is healing.

✨ Self-Love & Boundaries ✨

Self-love isn’t just bubble baths and kind words — it’s also the courage to say no, the strength to walk away, and the wisdom to protect your peace.

Setting boundaries isn’t selfish. It’s how we teach others how to treat us — with respect, honesty, and care. 💛

I’m learning that real love starts with the relationship I have with myself. And part of that love means not allowing in what harms, drains, or disrespects me.

Here's to choosing peace over chaos, self-worth over settling, and growth over guilt. 🌱

Our Story

My name is Amanda and I am a qualified and independently practising holistic/beauty therapist since 2005. I work have treatment room in Braintree, Essex. Over the years I have built a successful mobile practice and a loyal (and continually amazed) client base, offering a wide range of holistic therapies promoting relaxation and general well-being. My treatments range from Reiki to an Aromatherapy full body massage. Each of my therapies is subject to a consultation in order to provide a treatment plan tailored to the needs of each individual. I offer a professional first class service and I am fully insured.

I have a therapy room at the Hawthorns in Braintree. I love to heal people onto their path of healing using reiki, crystals,angel healing and essential oils.
