Get outside!!!

When we are struggling with our mental or physical health, it can be really difficult to find the motivation to get out of the house. Some days we simply can’t. And that’s ok. Know your limitations. But also know when pushing yourself to do something that you don’t feel like doing will make you feel better in the long run. Getting out of the house can INSTANTLY change how you feel. It can make you feel less alone and clear your head.

Relationships can be TOUGH!

The majority of my clients come to me for therapy because they are struggling with a relationship in their life. It could be with someone else or it could be the relationship they have with themselves.

Low self-esteem or self-worth. Anxiety and worry. Depression. Abuse. Toxic behaviour. Infidelity. Lack of trust. Sexual issues. Assault. Narcissism. Gaslighting. Loneliness. Sexual identity. Parenting. People pleasing. Drama. Addiction. Arguments. Distance. Loss of self. Lying. Self-care.

These are just some of the issues that I work through with my clients.

Do you struggle with any of these? What would you like to be different? ❤️‍🩹

She was a recipient of the American Association of University Women Emerging Scholar Award. She takes on our modern scourges of entitlement and incivility in “Don’t You Know Who I Am”: How to Stay Sane in the Era of Narcissism, Entitlement and Incivility.” Dr. Ramani is also an author of a book on modern relationship survival manual, Should I Stay or Should I Go: Surviving a Relationship With a Narcissist. Her most recent book, It’s Not You: Identifying and Healing from Narcissistic People, is a guide to protecting and healing yourself from the daily harms of Narcissism.

Her works have been featured on various media platforms, such as Investigation Discovery, BravoTV, Red Table Talk, and the Today Show. She’s also a featured expert on the digital media mental health platform, MedCircle. I was lucky enough to attend a Seminar in Manchester with Dr Ramani where she discussed Narcissism and the main concepts from her newest book. She is an absolute power house and shares her incredible intellect and knowledge with the world so that people are able to protect themselves against Narcissism and Narcissistic relationships and learn ways to find their worth and heal.

This week’s quote is from Dr Ramani Nurvasula:

“The narcissist is like a bucket with a hole in the bottom: No matter how much you put in, you can never fill it up. The phrase “I never feel like I am enough” is the mantra of the person in the narcissistic relationship. That’s because to the narcissist, you are not. No one is.”

It’s Me, Hi, I’m a Mum, It’s Me!

So I took some time out from social media whilst I had my first child and became a Mum! He is now 14 months old and I feel so blessed. A lot of days are hard, and I’m constantly exhausted, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I have learned a lot about postpartum mental health since giving birth and feel that I have so much more empathy towards other parents now. So to all of the parents out there - YOU ARE INCREDIBLE. And I’m sorry that your cups of tea are always lukewarm.
