Splashing into French fun at Ladybrook Manor! 🐠🌊
Our wonderful explorers took a delightful dive Under the Sea during this week’s Languagility French session. With lots of laughter and smiles, everyone had a whale of a time practising their French in a fun, interactive way! 🐟🐚 We explored colourful fish, mysterious sea creatures, and ocean adventures together.
It’s amazing to see how language brings such joy and sparks wonderful memories — plus, it’s a great excuse to practice a bit of French with friends!

This week’s resident trips have been a real treat so far! 🌟

We’ve enjoyed a lovely day out at Holmes Chapel Zoo, where everyone had a fantastic time exploring and then relaxing with a picnic in the sunshine. Next up, we headed to Runway Visitors Park at Manchester Airport for some brilliant plane spotting – lots of excitement watching the planes take off and land! ✈️ Finally, we visited Redesmere Lake to feed the ducks and soak up the beautiful surroundings.

The weather has been on our side every step of the way, making these trips even more enjoyable. ☀️
We’re looking forward to more wonderful outings ahead this week!

At Ladybrook Manor, we believe every team plays a vital role in creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents — and our Housekeeping team is no exception!

Led by our dedicated Head Housekeeper, Diane, this hardworking team ensures that all our communal areas are spotless and inviting, so residents and visitors always feel at home. But their work goes far beyond just tidying up:

✨ They clean and care for residents’ rooms with attention and respect
✨ Manage the laundry to keep everything fresh and comfortable
✨ Oversee infection control throughout the home, making sure the right cleaning products are used to keep everyone safe
✨ Diane personally trains the entire team on proper PPE use and handwashing to uphold the highest hygiene standards

👑🎩 Royal Hats & Hooves Garden Party at Ladybrook Manor! 🐎🥂

What a splendid afternoon we had celebrating in true Royal Ascot style! Our lovely residents donned their handmade fascinators – crafted with flair and fabulousness – and recreated the elegance of a day at the grandstand. 👒✨

We were serenaded by the amazing Kim, whose singing brought smiles and a few happy tears. With glasses of Pimm’s and fizz in hand and a delicious traditional high tea to enjoy, the sun shone down on a perfect garden party.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the day so special – it was a royally good time! 🇬🇧💐

t Ladybrook Manor Care Home, keeping our residents safe is our top priority! 🏡❤️

Falls can be very serious for older adults, so we’re always looking for ways to prevent them. As part of our ongoing care processes, we’ve introduced regular checks to compare our residents’ foot size with their shoe size. This helps us make sure everyone is wearing properly fitting footwear — because ill-fitting shoes are one of the main causes of falls.

By paying attention to these details, we’re helping our residents stay steady on their feet and enjoy a safer, happier life.
