As your Community Pharmacy and importantly a Family-owned Community Pharmacy, we have been proudly serving you and your families for many years, keeping our doors open even during the height of the pandemic when others have struggled.

However over recent weeks, we too have been impacted by the pressures experienced by the wider NHS this coupled with sickness has meant we have been stretched, especially so, as we approach the busy festive period. We do appreciate that this may have caused slight delays and adversely affect the high standards we set and sincerely apologise if this has impacted you.

To assure you, we have called upon all the resources at our disposal, with team members working overtime and bank and agency staff filling gaps created by sickness. We continue to support the team on the journey to full recovery and service as usual.

We are proud of the team and ask for patience at this time as we recover from recent events.

As the roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccine continues, the over-45s in England and Scotland and the over-40s in Wales and Northern Ireland have been asked to book appointments.

The government plans to vaccinate the rest of the adult population, another 21 million people, by the end of July.

People will be vaccinated in age order until all those over 20 have had a first dose. (Source Department of Health)

There's no need to let itchy eyes and sneezing spoil your day! We have a wide range of allergy relief products available in store to help with the symptoms of hayfever and seasonal allergies. For advice on which products would be most appropriate for you have a chat with our Pharmacist who would be happy to advise you.

We have been supplying FREE NHS Covid lateral flow tests for a week now and they have proved to be really popular, which is fantastic! You can collect up to 4 boxes for your household (1 per person) and each box contains 7 tests.

These tests are aimed to improve access to COVID-19 testing by making lateral flow device (LFD) test kits readily available at community pharmacies for asymptomatic people, to identify COVID-positive cases in the community and break the chain of transmission.

The service will work alongside existing NHS Test and Trace COVID-19 testing routes.

You may be prompted to take a test for the following reasons:
- you are a child at school or are in a bubble with school children;
- you work at a school or are in a bubble with school staff;
- you have to leave the house for work;
- your local council has advised you to test; or
your GP or another healthcare professional has advised you to test.
You can also request tests for regular use for other reasons.

The tests are self-administered away from the pharmacy, e.g. at home.
