Hey Everyone

Firstly I would like to thank all my loyal customers for continuing to keep my small business going this year Allhumdulillah The love is so much appreciated

I would also like to apologise to all my lovely customers who I’ve recently had to cancel due to my health, thank you so much for understanding. Unfortunately I will not be making balloons over the Christmas and new year period due to this, however in sha Allah I hope to be back to my normal self very soon and will keep you all updated. Hopefully only a couple of months 🤲🏼😍🎈

I haven’t posted much lately due to my health and also due to the sadness that we carry every day with us with my heavy heart for Palestine. May Allah show us his miracles soon 🤲🏼

Things are changing.

Last summer, I nearly gave up this business and got a job. Self employment is so so tough.

I then got thrown a lifeline and was accepted onto the Natwest Business Accelerator, this is a fully funded programme to support small businesses and to help them grow.

Once I started on this, I realised I knew nothing about business, hence me struggling so much and nearly giving up.

Ask me anything about sleep, I’m your woman, ask me about social media, marketing, branding, tech, websites, SEO, mailing lists, accounts, basically anything that I hadn’t ever trained in before and I was winging it. If I’m honest, I still am, but I know a lot more, and know that I definitely knew nothing before.

I have taken the decision to change my business as I don’t want to just help families struggling with sleep, I want to ideally stop them getting to the desperate stage where they are looking for me to help them with sleep.

I want to change the support system from before the baby arrives.

I want to educate expectant parents on what is more likely to happen so they aren’t thrown in to complete shock when it doesn’t marry up with what the antenatal classes told them.

I want to educate them on normal baby development so they aren’t relying on medication to fix a problem that isn’t there or needs a different approach.

I want to eventually find a way to infiltrate the NHS to make sure this vital education is given, or at least referred to, from there.

This is what I have always wanted to do, I just didn’t know how, but now I have a better idea and a road map to help me get there. This is my end goal.

On the way to this goal, I have a lot to do and will be looking to bring people on board who have the same vision for the future to help me make this happen.

The online courses will just keep getting better as this is the way to help a majority rather than a select few who can afford it.

I have online courses (please know these are not hard work or include heavy reading) that are designed for tired parents and people on the go. It’s all done in short videos and you can watch or listen on the go. I even pop it on in the car through the stereo.

They are easy to listen to and easy to navigate.

Pregnancy through the first 6 months.
6-24 month sleep support
2-6 year old sleep and behaviour support.

Optional support in a private Facebook group directly from me.

In the future I plan to study child, teenage and adult sleep along with sleep for those with more complex needs, hence the change to Family Sleep Coach as that’s what I want to be.

There is a new website that will be landing soon so watch this space, but I’ll keep letting you see some of the new branding and ideas over the next week or so while it’s getting set up.
