A subtle change can make a big difference 👣✨

Did you know that nail reconstruction doesn’t always mean rebuilding an entire nail?

In this case, a simple reconstruction of the distal nail plates was used to improve the overall shape and appearance of both toenails while they continue to grow out following nail surgery carried out in the patient’s youth.

Sometimes it’s the smaller corrections that:

3-month verruca progress update 👣✨

These two stubborn verrucae had been present for several years, with periods of improvement followed by recurrence.

Prior to this treatment plan:
• Multiple over-the-counter treatments had stopped being effective
• SWIFT microwave therapy had previously not been tolerated by the patient

A combined approach was therefore chosen using:
✔️ Plasma therapy
✔️ Zinc oxide taping
✔️ Spirularin VS cream

The aim of plasma treatment was to help “kick start” the immune response while supporting gradual resolution over time.

✨ Progress at 3 months:
• One lesion has now fully resolved
• The second lesion remains ongoing but is progressing well with visible improvement

Cases like this are a good reminder that verruca treatment is rarely one-size-fits-all.

Some lesions require patience, persistence, and adapting treatment approaches to what is both effective and tolerable for the patient.
