Celebrate the steps towards the bigger goal rather than making judgements about things still outstanding. Small steps= achieved goals so celebrate even small steps in the right direction.

Humans tend to notice only the negative and disregard the good especially when our mental health is struggling, as our brain is trying to keep us safe and noticing danger is our brains way of trying to stop you doing dangerous things again.
