Healing is change โ and change is healing.
We often see healing as positive and change as difficult. Yet deep healing almost always demands deep change. It is a spiral of death and rebirth: letting go of old beliefs, identities, and coping patterns so that something new can emerge.
Thatโs why it feels like two steps forward, one step back.
We glimpse a new state of being โ clarity, healthier choices, self-acceptance, inner peace.
Then we slip back โ old triggers, familiar self-talk.
But even in the โstep back,โ weโre not where we started:
โจ We can recognize the old pattern as itโs happening
โจ We have tools and templates to respond differently
โจ Weโve tasted the new, so the old no longer fits
This back-and-forth isnโt failure. Itโs practice, reinforcement, and integration.
The Double Helix Pathway brings this spiral to life:
๐ One strand = inner healing (beliefs, nervous system, identity)
๐ The other = outer change (relationships, work, environment)
They weave together, not always in sync. Sometimes inner growth races ahead and outer life lags. Other times external change forces us to catch up internally. Each turn of the helix is a cycle of ending โ messy middle โ glimpse of new โ integration โ rebirth.
With every spiral upward, we embody more of the new and release more of the old โ an endless dance of transition and becoming.
