British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy The British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy STRATEGIC PLAN

BSDHT's strategic plan is the basis upon which the Society operates.

The British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy, BSDHT (formerly British Dental Hygienists' Association, BDHA) was set up in 1949 by a group of 12 dental hygienists who felt the time was right to organise a professional association to represent the interests of their profession. Over 60 years later, the BSDHT is a nationally recognised body that represents over 3,000 members across the UK and beyo

nd. OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of BSDHT is to represent the interests of members and to provide a consultative body for public and private organisations on all matters relating to dental hygiene and therapy. We aim to work with other professional and regulatory groups to provide the highest level of information to our members as well as to the general public. The Society seeks to increase the range of benefits offered to members and to support this with a clear business and financial strategy. The Society will continue to work to increase membership for the benefit of the profession

OUR SOCIETY AIMS TO:

* Represent members at national level, particularly in the political arena
* Provide services to members
* Support members on issues which affect their working lives
* Produce a publication that educates, updates and inspires
* Provide CPD opportunities, both locally and nationally
* Help members to find employment and provide guidance on contractual matters
* Listen to members and respond accordingly. It directs the decision making processes within the Society and provides mechanisms to monitor progress and success. The plan is all embracing and affects all aspects of the Society's business.

[Advert] The Oral-B iO 9 Genius automatically adapts to the way patients brush their teeth in real time. It allows users to track where they’re cleaning, and more importantly, where they’re not! It’s versatile, offering seven different cleaning modes, so that you can tailor your instruction to your patient’s needs. An interactive display will help keep them on track and a pressure sensor at the neck of the brush will notify them if they’re brushing too hard or not hard enough so that technique can immediately be modified. Charging is swift, with the latest 3 hours fast charge functionality.

Day 2 of BSDHT at The Dentistry Show.

We are on Stand B76 and have 3 wonderful speakers today.

We have really enjoyed hearing from our members about how we have helped them. From mentoring to legal issues. It is so good to see how the member benefits have been useful and appreciated.

Pre-treatment with Curasept Biosmalto can make all the difference!

A biomimetic remineralisation system that depolarises nerve fibres with POTASSIUM NITRATE, Curasept Biosmalto can provide rapid pain relief and a long-lasting desensitising effect:

✔ Ask your patient to lick their teeth, or to take a small sip of water, at the start of their appointment
✔ Use a finger to gently apply a layer of Biosmalto mousse (which looks like a clear gel) all over their sensitive teeth
✔ Leave the mousse to work its magic, and pe*****te deep inside exposed dentinal tubules, for 3-5mins
✔ Carry out your hygiene treatment on a much calmer and more comfortable patient
✔ Apply all over the teeth again at the end of the appointment and ask them not to eat or drink anything for at least 30 minutes

Curasept Biosmalto is available in a 150ml tube for in-surgery use, or a 50ml tube for at-home follow-up use. For full details and to try the Curasept Biosmalto Impact Action Mousse for yourself, please click here > https://js-davis.co.uk/brand/curasept/curasept-samples-request/
