Western Wellbeing Pip teaches both group and private yoga and somatic trauma therapy in person and by zoom.

Somatic Yoga therapy:

During your initial appointment Pip will work with you to assess your physical and mental needs and plan your treatment accordingly. You will learn how the stress and trauma you have experienced have impacted your mental and physical wellbeing and Pip will guide you through personalised movements to unwind these patterns from your body. These movements are often floor based but Pip also offers chair based treatments for anyone who is uncomfortable with lying on the floor. Through regular practice you will learn to find more peace, create an improved sense of wellbeing and feel physically stronger, more supple and less prone to injury. Private yoga lessons:

Pip will work with you to improve your strength, flexibility and muscle tone alongside your spiritual and mental wellbeing. Yoga is a holistic practice which, when practiced regularly, will transform your life.

There are a couple of spaces left

💚 Round 2 of our Parent Support Circle begins on Monday 10 November — and we're taking bookings. 💚

👥 Small circle of 8 parents/carers of autistic/AuDHD young people age 14 - 22.

🗓️ 11 sessions running weekly initially (with a break for Christmas), with longer spacing between sessions from session 8 onwards.
🗓️ Starts Monday 10 November, 6-8pm
🗓️ Last session Monday 13 April.

This pilot programme has been warmly received and has enabled us to adapt the design in response to parents' preferences. This includes offering the additional, less frequent "keeping in touch" sessions in the final months, to extend ongoing support and connections and prevent that feeling of 'walking off a cliff-edge'.

I’ve got news!

I’ve been collaborating with the wonderful Growforward Project at Chelfham Mill and I’m going to move my “Somatic Yoga for the healing and recovery from trauma and anxiety” class to their new wellbeing hub from Tuesday 4th November.

Join me to experience how gentle somatic movement can unlock profound release and support deep healing.

This class is gentle, restorative and suitable for all ages and genders although it is mat based so you will need to be comfortable getting down to the ground. Please bring a mat and a blanket if possible but I have spares if you need them.

The Growforward Project and I are pasionate about being accessible to all so we operate on a suggested donation basis of just £10, to cover all costs, but please don’t be put off if that’s too much for you. I’ve always got spare hugs if anyone needs one 🤗

Research suggests that receiving around four hugs a day can help improve emotional well being by reducing anxiety, loneliness, and depression. The concept, inspired by therapist Virginia Satir’s famous words about the power of hugs, highlights how physical touch supports mental health. Hugs trigger the release of oxytocin, often called the “love hormone,” which promotes calmness, lowers stress, and boosts mood. A 2024 meta analysis by Ruhr University Bochum and the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience found that touch based interactions like hugging ease pain and emotional distress across all ages. Scientists say simple human touch remains one of the most effective yet underused tools for healing and connection.
