👀 Did you know your eye movements affect your spine?

At Rebuild Your Back, Will showed us how figuring out your dominant eye and practising simple eye drills can improve gaze stability — which is integral to how your spine moves.

Try this: Notice which eye feels more natural to focus with. Then practise gentle eye movements (side to side, up and down, diagonals) while keeping your head steady.

✨ A small drill, but a big shift for balance and coordination.

🌿 Maximise Your Care: Setting the Stage for Healing

Tonight at The Vibrant Life Centre

Your body is designed to heal — when the conditions are right.
This evening we’ll explore how to set the stage for healing by understanding what helps (and what blocks) your body’s innate intelligence.

💫 Discover:
• The three key things that can block healing
• How your brain receives, integrates, and responds to input from your body
• Simple daily drills to improve mobility, balance, and brain-body connection
• The three phases of care that help you move from crisis to true wellbeing

At Vibrant Life, we are passionate about what causes a person to truly thrive, not just survive, and we’re passionate about helping you create an interference-free, organised nervous system so your body can do what it was designed to do: heal and be Vibrant!.

Why Your Spine Matters

🦋 Your spinal health = your overall wellbeing.
At our recent Rebuild Your Back workshop, spine therapist Will explained how good quality movement input from your spine creates better output from your brain which improves mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.

👉 When your spine moves well, your brain performs better.

Jo has many amazing talents - massage therapist, reflexologist, specialises in lymphatic drainage and this weekend she completed a functional foot workshop 🦶

Great work Jo 🤩

The anatomy and physiology of the feet is so important to our whole body health 👣

The feet and pelvis are shock absorbers. The spine responds to the requests of the feet and so the spine can reflex inefficiencies from the feet - everything is connected 🦶

There is a pathway of fascia that runs from the toes, up through the quads, pelvis and abdominal wall, all the way up to the scalp 👣

Love your feet and they will love you back 💕

Call us today on 01271814067 to book in for a session with Jo to give your feet some tlc and feel the whole body benefits

Your feet affect more than just how you walk. They influence your spinal cord and nervous system health.

Aligned feet help position your centre of mass correctly. This point sits just in front of your sacrum and directly affects tone and pressure in your spinal cord.

Geeky insight:
If your centre of mass is out of position, it can create torque in the spinal cord, disrupting normal function. Barefoot time, foot strengthening, and having your feet checked
and adjusted all help protect your spine and nervous system.

That completes our NIP Geek Out series. Which post surprised you most? Let us know in the comments.

Adjusting the skull may sound unusual, but it is vital for healthy spinal and nervous system function.

Your cranium and sacrum are connected by strong membranes that surround your brain and spinal cord. They move together in a constant rhythm to pump cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) around your system.

Geeky insight:
CSF is like the blood of your central nervous system. It delivers nutrients, removes waste, and supports brain and spinal cord health. NIP allows us to determine whether the cranium or sacrum needs a direct adjustment or if we can influence them indirectly via other structures.

An NIP adjustment is not about forcing joints to move. It is about giving your brain the exact sensory input it needs to work better.

Your nervous system has three key jobs: gather sensory input, organise that information, and create an accurate response to the world around you.

Geeky insight:
The adjustment happens in two parts:

1. A gentle contact, held for around 10 seconds, to introduce the sensory signal

2. A fast impulse, less than a quarter of a second, to give the brain precise, new information while supporting the body's own healing ability

This approach is gentle, specific, and suitable for people of all ages.

Why do we always check your eye pressure and then sometimes ask you to do a fingertip-to-nose test?

We start by checking cranial pressure behind your eyes. It should feel symmetrical. If it does not after your adjustment, we use the Past Point Test to investigate further.

Geeky insight:
The test involves touching your nose and our finger with eyes open and closed, sometimes after turning your head. It gives precise information about whether any cranial function issues remain that could affect your results.

We know that some of our wonderful guests tell us they like to practise this one at home
