Reiki 1 Course - Friday 23rd January at Still Point Studio 10:30-4pm

Reiki isn't woowoo it's a Japanese modality based on Shinto Buddhism which combines Mindfulness, Meditation & Breathwork to put you on a journey to understanding who you really are. A great bright light able to access the healing energies that we all have inside of us.

This week we will be looking at brain balancing breaths to keep us centred, improve sleep and even relieve headaches.
We will be talking about how we can break worry loops and deal with troublesome thoughts as well as our regular meditation practise and guided deep rest breath meditation xx

New name, new focus 🥰 I love to treat and will still be offering treatments...but I REALLY love to teach. Helping people have their own wellness toolkits makes my soul glow...its pushing me out of my comfort zone too, so an opportunity to grow. The Still Point Studio is a celebration of my journey so far and an act of faith. I know it will be a beautiful space for so many good things and I can't wait...not just for me but for others who want to share their wellness talents too.

SO…

Why do we learn how to use the breath to regulate? Because it's the most powerful tool we all have free access to...to overcome feeling off centre, to overcome anxiety, to help us be the best version of ourselves ALL the time.

Why do we learn mindfulness? Because understanding ourselves as the watcher is the beginning of self mastery and it helps pull us back to enjoying the present moment instead of being caged in our internal dialogue.

Why do we meditate? Because we all have accumulated stress that needs to be tipped out of our cups daily and meditation is a quick and once learned easy way to do it. We give our brains a rest 4 times greater than sleep because we should love our minds the way we love and treat our bodies.

Why do I teach Reiki? Because it’s a beautiful Japanese modality which embodies all 3 of the other ones…a path to personal perfection and remembering who we really are.

These are things we should be taught at school to operate in the world but we aren't...so time to catch up and get awesome at being ourselves.

We had a wonderful session this week learning lots about the power of using breath to regulate the body, with a focus on calming breaths, next week we will be adding in some brain balancing breaths and practising our meditation together before coming into complete relaxation with a guided diaphragmatic training exercise meditation.
