Hypnotherapy
Madeleine uses hypnosis to give relevant, positive beneficial suggestions to help her clients bring about the change they desire. Although hypnotherapy is not the same as sleep (the individual will still have awareness and control), hypnotherapists often encourage the individual to be in a relaxed state to enable them to use their imagination fully. There is a wealth of evidence to suggest that Hypnotherapy helps with huge amount of conditions including:
Anxiety
Weight Control
Stress Management
Depression
Pain
Relationships
Sexual Problems
IBS
PTSD
Fears and Phobias
Birthing
Smoking Cessation
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a way of helping us to focus on and ‘live’ in the present moment. It can help us to stop being upset about the past or worrying about the future. Madeleine teaches her clients about the key principles of Mindfulness and how they can practice informal and formal mindfulness meditation in their everyday lives. Mindfulness is gaining a lot of popularity and press at the moment and research has shown that mindfulness offers powerful health and wellbeing benefits, including:
Increased wellbeing
Stress reduction and resilience building
Increased self-confidence
Pain control
Greater self-esteem
Enhanced creativity
Letting go of worry and anxiety
Improved self-awareness
What Clients Often Want!
Clients often feel stuck in some kind of pattern – whether that’s emotional or physical illness or whether it’s a habit that they would like to get rid of, or a good habit that they would like to learn!
Basically most people seeking help either want to change the way they feel, or the way they behave. Often it’s about both. People often describe being in an endless loop that there seems to be no way out of.
A key part of therapy, NLP and coaching is about us having a dialogue. As your therapist or coach I need to be a good listener and encourage you to be able to share with me, if you wish to, your anxieties, fears and frustrations, as well as what it is that you would like to achieve. Clients don’t always seem to know to start with exactly what it is that they want, but they are usually pretty good at knowing what they don’t want.
Something I’m pretty good at is helping clients to examine their beliefs and values and then to change their focus away from what they don’t want and onto what they do want. That’s when we usually start to make some progress and clients begin to feel as if they are starting to break out of that loop.
I always ask some questions to help me determine what your level of motivation to change is. Sometimes I’m able to help clients to raise their motivation level because, naturally we need a good level of motivation in order to succeed. We can’t make people change – it would actually be very unethical if we could! However there’s often quite a big difference between wanting to do something and actually having the belief and confidence that we can do it. That’s where therapy, CBT, NLP and Coaching can make a powerful difference.
