Dying Matters Week was established by Hospice UK. Each year, they try to encourage people to think and talk about aspects of dying and grief.

This year, the focus is on breaking the taboo of being able to talk openly about grief. Bereaved individuals may feel isolated in their pain - this is all the more true for grieving parents, siblings and grandparents. It is vital for those of us who have lost a child, sibling or grandchild to have acceptance and support when we speak about our grief and our memories of those we have lost.
