Yesterday we were very honoured to carry out the funeral of the late Margaret Lee.

Her family chose a unique coffin for Margaret, opting for a silver glitter coffin from Colourful Coffins in Oxford.

Margaret loved something with a little dazzle and sparkle with this coffin perfectly emulating this love.

The family of the late Margaret Lee have asked us to announce details of her funeral service.

On November 13th at Chaxhill Hall, Margaret Eileen, aged 79 years of Whitecroft Road, Bream, formerly of Blakeney.
A Loving wife, mum & grandma, she will be sadly missed by all her family.
Funeral service to take place at The Forest of Dean Crematorium on Thursday December 11th at 12.30pm. Please wear something royal blue.

On November 8th at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, Denise Geraldine, aged 84 years of Parkend Road, Bream.
Devoted wife of the late Bryan, dearly loved mum of Adrian & Sharon and Andrew & Tracey, much loved nan of Jack & Harry. Denise will be sadly missed by all her family & friends.

The family of the late Val Russell have asked us to announce details of her funeral service.

Peacefully on September 22nd, Valerie Jean (known as Val) of Coverham Road, Berry Hill at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital aged 83 years.

Loving mum of Jackie & Philip, John & Helen and Jane & Denis, dearly loved nan of Sophie & Samuel and a much loved great nan.

Her funeral service will take place at Christchurch Church on Tuesday 21st October at 12.30pm followed by burial in Mile End Cemetery.

On Thursday we were honoured to carry out the funeral of a very popular and well known gent from Blakeney.

Warren had a devotion to Blakeney and in particular to Blakeney A.F.C. He would often be seen wandering the perimeters of the football pitch giving the team some constructive criticism.

It therefore seems fitting that from his final resting place in the cemetery, the football pitch can be viewed.

We have been asked to announce details of the funeral for the late Tony Thorne of Viney Hill.

Suddenly on July 19th at his home, Anthony William (Tony), aged 83 years of Viney Hill.
A loving Dad, Gramp & Great Gramp.

His funeral service will take place at All Saints Church, Viney Hill on Friday August 29th at 12 noon followed by interment in the churchyard.

We were very honoured to carry out the funeral of the late Kit Waskett, former Lydney Park Head Forester and a devoted family man in late May.

All of Kit's life was spent working in the forests in various places where he became extremely skilled before he headed up the Forestry Team at Lydney Park Estate for a number of years, also living on the estate with his family.

His forestry tractor and trailer, of which he became synonymous with, was a handed picked vehicle which involved a trip all the way to Scotland with a couple of colleagues to collect.

As such, Kit's fellow colleagues set about creating a beautiful woodland theme on the trailer bed of the tractor for a very fitting final journey.

Because of Kit's life and long association with the forests, it seemed only right to have a natural pine coffin, supplied by J C Walwyn & Sons, that was finished with a natural and stunning coffin spray made by the family.

The photos from Kit's service appear with the very kind permission of his wife Jess.
