Do you or someone you know have type 1 diabetes? Then why not come along to a new free Diabetes Support Group starting in Dundee.

The first meeting will be on Thursday, 2 October at 6.30pm in the Strathmore Diabetes Centre (level 7) at Ninewells Hospital.

The aim of the support group is to provide a friendly informal opportunity for people living, or recently diagnosed, with type 1 diabetes to share their experiences and stories.

As this is a new support group those attending will help shape the group’s future including voting for the group’s name at the first meeting.

Remember this group is all about you - giving you the opportunity to connect, find your community and create a meaningful group.

So come along for a cup of tea and a chat whether you are newly diagnosed or have lived with type 1 for years, everyone is welcome - no need to book!

Did you know that Su***de support is provided by The Beacon Angus and available to all adults aged 16 and over living in Angus who experience thoughts of su***de or who may have attempted su***de? Support is also available for family members, carers or friends of adults experiencing suicidal thoughts.
The service is designed to offer assessment of individual need, provide support and interventions that promote safety, well-being and recovery.

The Beacon is open every day from 12 noon to 12 midnight, including weekends and public holidays.

Marc is taking on the challenge in support of his friend, Alan Budge (fondly known as ‘Budgie’), who is living with motor neuron disease (MND). Marc has raised over £2100 already for MND Scotland! 💙
