Support Services Assistant (Domestic)

We require a caring and enthusiastic individual to work part time as a Support Services Assistant within the Domestic team.

This is a 16 hour post working Monday to Sunday.

This post will be based at Newtown Hospital.

You will need to be self-motivated, have a flexible approach to work, able to work as part of a team and have the ability to work on your own initiative.

There will be the expectation, when required, to clean in other departments.

Previous experience is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be given.

To deliver effective diagnostic radiography services in Victoria Memorial and Montgomery County Infirmary hospitals radiography departments on a rotational basis, working within set clinical protocols and IRMER/IRR regulations, ensuring a high-quality and efficient Radiographic Service.

To ensure consistency of medical imaging quality and standards of patient care in a wide range of clinical environments and to a diverse range of patient presentations.

To be able to take charge of the running of a work area and in their absence, deputise for the Team Lead Radiographer.

To support, direct and supervise the Radiography Health Care support workers and student Radiographers within the
department.

Aspiring Radiography Support Worker

We are delighted to offer you the chance to join PTHB as an Aspiring Radiographer. Join our dynamic Radiography Team as a Radiography Support Worker, supporting the delivery of high-quality care to our patients in a community hospital setting.

This is a Radiography Training Role; we will release you from your duties to undertake your degree level studies on the BSc (Hons) Radiography Course at Bangor University. The course is a full-time degree programme delivered at the Bangor University Wrexham-based Campus over the duration of 3 academic years, starting September 2026.

You will have no university fees to pay and will 'earn while you learn'

At the end of your academic studies, you will be guaranteed a Band 5 Radiographer Role in PTHB and will be committed to working in PTHB for a minimum of 2 years post registration.

Please note that this is Stage 1 of the recruitment and selection process. Successful applicants will be invited to attend an interview on 6th January and if successful, must also prepare and submit an independent application via UCAS by 14th January 2026 at 6:00pm.

Any offer of the role will be conditional upon meeting the required academic standards and successfully completing Stage 2 of the recruitment and selection process with Bangor University.

This will include the provision of support and information to resolve
investigations of financial queries and discrepancies from varied sources consisting of complex formulas/components. Liaising with Directorate Management about identified financial variances relating to contractors, localities, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure financial assurance against appropriate regulations and contractual agreements.
