✨YOGA TAKE 5️⃣✨
How often do we give ourselves excuses not to look after our body, mind and soul because life is just too busy and those underpants really need ironing right now? I know I've been there in procrastination mode (maybe not with that example. Who irons underpants anyway?!), so how to overcome these stalling times? 🤔
How about making our self-care goals manageable and achievable, like taking 5 minutes every day for a bit of mindful breathing and lovely stretching? 😃
This time we're taking 5 minutes to dedicate some care and attention to our fabulous feet and ankles. Follow this mini and simple routine over 5 minutes and notice how alive and wonderful they feel afterwards. (If you close your eyes, you can pretend you're on this pretty awesome Kimolos beach too ☺️ 🏖️)
1. Take some delicious, deep and full-bodied breaths fully utilising your diaphragm. Continue long & slow inhales and exhales for ultimate relaxation.
2. Open and scrunch up your toes.
3. Circle your ankles away from each other, then switch directions.
4. Draw your toes towards your face and push your heels away from you (dorsiflexion). Push your toes away from you and heels come towards you (plantarflexion).
5. Laterally rotate your feet. Rotate the soles of your feet away from each other (eversion). Rotate the soles of your feet towards each other (inversion).
6. Shake 'em all out and give thanks to your feet and ankles for carrying you everywhere. 👣🙏
