Our Post-care advice for any SMP treatments.
👇
1️⃣ 🚿 Keep the Scalp Completely Dry for 6 Days.
Avoid any contact with water, including rain and steam.
This means no steamy showers, swimming, or activities that may cause sweating. The scalp must remain dry to allow the pigment to settle properly.
2️⃣ 🪒 Do Not Shave the Scalp for 6 Days.
Shaving too soon can disrupt the healing process and risk damaging the newly implanted pigment. Allow the skin time to heal undisturbed.
3️⃣ 🧢 Avoid Wearing Caps or Hats for 10 Days.
Tight headwear can cause friction, sweating, and irritation.
If unavoidable, wear a loose-fitting cap only when necessary and limit wear time as much as possible.
4️⃣ 🏊♂️ Refrain from Swimming for 30 Days.
Avoid chlorinated pools, salt water, and hot tubs, as these can interfere with healing and potentially cause pigment to fade unevenly.
5️⃣ 🏋️♀️ No Gym or Intense Physical Activity for 10 Days.
Excessive sweating can open pores and affect pigment retention.
Give your body time to recover without triggering scalp moisture.
6️⃣ ☀️ Avoid Direct Sun Exposure.
UV rays can cause premature fading and irritation. If sun exposure is unavoidable, cover the scalp with a silk or breathable cap and apply a high-factor SPF once healing permits.
⚠️ Avoid wool hats, which may irritate the skin during healing.
7️⃣ 🧴 Do Not Apply Creams or Lotions for 6 Days.
Allow the scalp to heal naturally. Avoid moisturisers, oils, or any topical products during this period unless otherwise advised by your SMP specialist.
8️⃣ ❌ Do Not Scratch or Pick the Scalp
As the skin heals, it may feel itchy — this is normal.
Resist the urge to scratch or pick, as this can remove pigment and cause patchy results.
