Hi Everyone, I just wanted to give you all an update, seeing as it was a year ago today I told you all I was pregnant. I thought I’d let you know I’m starting back work, however, I will no longer be self employed!

Over the last 12 months I have been lucky enough to have spent quality time with firstly my partner (during the long months of carrying) and then with Gwen (our sleep-hating bundle of love). Having this time has made me appreciate the value of a work-life balance, a balance I want to maintain.

A few weeks ago I started my new working journey at the Cosmetik Clinic in Swansea. As soon as I joined, I instantly felt part of the amazing team. The company has already supported me through training in exciting new treatments. From this week I will be working at the clinic, Wednesday, Friday, and the occasional Saturday. Before anyone asks - my Wednesdays are the late nights!

We offer lots of spa quality treatments including massages, laser treatment, flotation sessions and cosmetic skin care! You can actually have a quiet massage with me, something I know a lot of you will really appreciate! For my all my regulars, it is with a heavy heart I have to tell you my Disney playlist is now retired, the clinic wasn’t convinced by the piano rendition of the Lion King - no more guess the song!

I understand the journey to Swansea may be a little bit further away for many of you, but if any of you were fancying a pamper session, I would love to see some familiar faces. I’d recommend the floatation tanks, there are amazing way of unwinding - if you needed to unwind a bit more we even offer Prosecco and afternoon tea!

I’ll share a link to our instagram page and website for anyone who was interested. I’ll be posting photos of our lovely clinic through the week, but to really appreciate how special the place is, you need to pay us a visit!

These last few weeks have been so crazy, looking after a newborn is much harder than than the Christmas rush, especially trying to get ready for christmas. I only wrapped my presents and got my presents yesterday 🙈

Hi All, just wanted to apologies for not replying to any messages over the last few weeks. My work phone has been off for the last few weeks, as we’ve been sorting out the house ready for the baby. Thought id give you a sneak peak of our nursery. Plus the joys of the baby being in an awkward position i’ve been a bit uncomfortable.

For all who have asked if Ive had the baby yet. The baby is due the start of next month so just a few more weeks to wait.

Hi All,

To everyone who is in over the next few days, please be aware that it is really hot in the clinic. I’ve come in this morning and it is already 28C. I’ve got all the windows open and my air cooler on to try and keep it as cool as I possible can. If the heat continues to rise here, I may have to cancel treatments, which is obviously something I really don’t want to do at this moment, as I only have 7 working days left before maternity 😭

Hi All,

So I just wanted to put out a quick reminder, that 4 weeks today will be my last day, 28th July. It’s so horrible to think I’ve only got 4 weeks left in work, especially after the last year of being off. But please if you still have a gift voucher to use or want to book in for my last month, then please give me a message.

If you have phoned and I haven’t got back to you, give me a text message. Trying to answer the phone in between clients is harder now, especially with finishing late, sometimes I’m not going through all the voicemails until 8/8.30pm in the night.

Hi all,

Another long post from me I’m afraid. With people booking so far in advance I am getting a few ‘no shows’. I’d like to ask could you please remember to write your appointment in your diary to make sure you don’t forget it. If you need to cancel your appointment please just let me know, even if it is short notice, I’m happy aslong as I’ve been told. This allows me to try and book in other clients on the waiting list.

Just a little warning for all clients booked in this week, with the weather getting warmer, as some clients may know our clinic and my room get extremely warm with being upstairs. Unfortunately we have no air conditioning. I understand people may want to rearrange because of this, again, please just let me know.

Lastly, as a result of the volume of booking received, I’ve decided to close my books to new clients. I will be leaving the end of July 😩(8 weeks left) and I would like to make sure I can see all my regulars before I go. With being really busy (and feeling really pregnant and I’m only half way 🙈) I’m finding myself feeling more tired and sick the longer hours I work. Unfortunately this has meant me cancelling a few clients, which I hate doing. In attempt to make work as manageable as possible during these remaining weeks, I will now no longer be offering my pamper packages. This does not include appointments already booked in or clients with Gift vouchers.

✨✨!!! Announcement !!!✨✨

So I can finally tell you all my good news. Lots of you will already know how much this means to me and my partner that we can tell you, we are expecting a baby. I’m currently 4 months pregnant.

I just want to thank all the client who were in the same position as me, talking me through every step, and giving us all the hints and tips possible. The last two years have been a bit of a rollercoaster, but we are incredibly lucky to say we finally got there.

Due to the pregnancy being high risk, and my sickness still hasn’t disappeared yet, my restrictions with working hours are still in place. Please bare with me if I’m a little slow, or a little over the place, pregnancy doesn’t seem to agree with me at this moment in time 😂

With this, I have to end on a little sad note, due to my contract being up in July, and again risk factors, the 28th July will be my last day in TheMassageRoom. I have absolutely loved being self employed for the last 7 years.. well maybe not this last year, but you as clients have made this experience incredible for me. Im unsure where and when il be returning to do massage and beauty, but if you would like to add my personal Facebook to follow me, then please do. I know I’m really lucky and have a supportive network around me, and some very eager soon to be grandparents to help me when I eventually return to work.

With lots of clients coming in who have had their Covid vaccine, or are waiting for their appointments. I just wanted to inform everyone, if you are booked In for a massage, their is an advisory that you should wait 48 hours after having your vaccine before a massage treatment, due to the reactions you can get from the injection.

I just want to thank everyone for all their messages over the last few weeks. The response I’ve had is crazy. Over 100 messages. It is so nice to know how much you have all missed my treatments. I’ve been in the salon answering the last of the messages, and cleaning the salon today, which has made me even more excited for Monday !!

I can’t wait to see you all Monday, and thank you again for being so patient with waiting times. Only two days to go ❤️

Hi all,

With all the messages I’ve had, I am now booked up until May 10th, so please when booking appointments understand that there is a wait. Due to this volume, I will no longer be booking anymore clients in for the time being unless your a regular, or have a gift voucher with myself.

I’m going into the salon today to get it all tidy and ready for Monday. Less than a week now until I can come back to work, it is so exciting.
