Understanding and navigating relationships with other people is so complex. Not only are we dealing with our own issues that we may not always be consciously aware of, we are working with theirs too, that they may not be aware of either or may decide not to show us. Then we have the added complications of the unpredictability of life and situations around us. We are all on different vibrations and frequencies with different histories and personalities. Sometimes it truly amazes me that people can meet and gel so beautifully together.

I look back at how I have let people treat me due to my own poor self worth, poor boundaries and complete lack of self love and respect, and realise it likely came from their own pain and trauma but also that certain behaviours continued because I let them. They needed something to hook onto and I would willingly give it. I am also self aware enough to know that my own hurt would sometimes lead me to treat others in ways I never would dream of now.

As I move further into full alignment with who I really am, certain people, situations and behaviours simply hold no interest anymore. Not the powerful pull that they used to, the rollercoasters of emotions, the adrenaline or the tears. The dynamics just don't fit with my energy, the influence can't reach me anymore. Some of those people are still stuck in the same old ways and pop up every now and then. Trying to get back in touch, looking for that same old hook, and they're confused that it isn't there anymore. They try the same old tactics but they fall flat without the same old reaction.

Life will always bring us difficult situations with other people and some we can't always avoid. But we can decide what energy we give to them. We can understand that a complicated relationship needs more than one player and decide not to engage in the game. We can show compassion, empathy and forgiveness but not give our precious time and emotions to those who are not working on themselves. There are plenty more people on your wavelength, who won't need tricks, hooks and games, only resonance, alignment and true connection. The more you become tuned into it who you really are deep in your soul, the more you will find each other
