Nine reasons we are walking the Nine Edges

Over half of adults don't know even one symptom of a brain tumour.
Symptoms look different depending on your age, tumour type, and its position.
And too many children are sent away with a misdiagnosis (25% wait over a year for a correct one).

One of the reasons we are fundraising on our walk this Sunday is to increase awareness so it can hopefully lead to faster diagnosis and better outcomes.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who took part in ‘Go Orange for OSCAR’s’ in March for Brain Tumour Awareness Month.

From schools to sports clubs and dance academies, your support has been incredible — helping to raise both vital awareness and funds.

The money raised helps OSCAR’s continue supporting children and families facing a brain tumour diagnosis.

I've come across this amazing small charity for Children with Brain Tumours, please share, and make more folks aware that there are smaller charities that need support. Thank you 🙏 Vicki

OSCAR's is funding research at The Institute of Cancer Research in London, where Dr.Julia Cockle and her team are exploring immunotherapy options to combat paediatric diffuse high-grade gliomas.

Too many parents are told simply to "make memories" when their child is diagnosed with DIPG/DMG, a brain tumour type with only a 2% survival rate.

This research is hopefully a step towards viable treatment options for medical teams dealing with these types of tumours, so they can offer more to families than just sympathy.
