To all Newick and Chailey School pupils of past and future...

Dont ever give up.
In 1984, Mr Kenches' first words to me were, 'oh god, I hope you are the last'
From then, I had 5 years of regular beatings from teachers, both male and female, the stripping of my clothes and being thrown and locked in cupboards.
Besides all that.... I finally got to learn and enjoy, rather than being of the wrong surname, on report, numerous detentions or because I am Wendy. Who can't sit still, or concentrate for long, and who won't shut up if she is wronged.
I now have a BA Hons in Arts and Humanities.
I know my Mum and Dad would be chuffed if they were here. They would say Good on you, Girl.
Oh, and Mr Morris, the best teacher ever, would be proud of me.
