🐝 Spiritual Meaning of a Carpenter Bee
Following on from when I met my spirit guides in a guided meditation on earlier this week, I thought it would be fun to keep sharing spiritual symbolism of the guides I met.
The carpenter bee I met was huge, like a big friendly fluffy floating pom pom with sparkly wings, just hovering in front of me, happily doing it's thing, whilst minding his own business and protecting the door to my home.
Carpenter bees aren’t loud, busy and don't have the same frantic energy like honeybees.
They’re slower, more intentional, almost curious.
Carpenter bees are linked to creation and building.
Not just physically, but energetically too:
✨ Building a life that actually fits you
✨ Creating something slowly, with purpose
✨ Working away quietly behind the scenes
✨ They don’t rush
✨ They don’t follow the crowd
✨ They carve their own space
💛 What I really love about them is:
They can look quite intimidating, hovering close, slowish moving holding eye contact almost, sometimes I wonder if they're curious about us too.
Carpenter bee's are not aggressive.
Which suggests:
👉 Not everything that feels intense is a threat
👉 Sometimes it’s just asking for your attention
As a spirit guide, carpenter bee energy can show up when:
🌿 You’re being called to create something of your own
🌿 You’re stepping away from noise or comparison
🌿 You’re building quietly, even if no one else can see it yet
🌿 You’re learning to trust your own way of doing things
🔆 It’s very “slow build” energy.
🔆 Not overnight success.
🔆 Not hustle.
🔆 But something more grounded, more meaningful, something that lasts.
For me, this feels like:
✨ You don’t need to follow what everyone else is doing.
✨ You’re allowed to build your life in your own way, in your own time, on your own terms.
✨ Even if it looks different (this makes it even better).
✨ Quieter is cool.
If a carpenter bee has shown up for you lately, ask yourself:
💛 What am I being called to create?
💛 Where am I overthinking instead of just starting?
💛 What would it look like to build this slowly, in my own way?
💛 Whose lane am I in? If it's not your own - get back in it.
Sometimes the message isn’t to do more, it’s to build differently in a way that is right for you, not what is perceived to be right for you - by the noise of others who are not living you life, or walking in your shoes. 🔆🐝✨
