Sam made a strong start in the catering department, showing commitment and a positive attitude even during busy periods. When moved to front-of-house and later as a kitchen porter, he thrived, especially in hospitality roles.

He consistently showed resilience, maturity, and a can-do approach.

After his internship, Sam secured a part-time role with the Facilities Team at Shaftesbury Hospital/Westminster Memorial Hospital, where he continues to excel in a varied role covering catering, cleaning, and porter duties. He is thriving in his new role and has a bright future ahead!

Good Luck Sam!🌟

Ben and Charlotte from Bridgwater Outreach had a wonderful time at Loveable Last Monday with Aaron!

Charlotte had an amazing experience exploring the VR Room, where she enjoyed diving into different virtual worlds and interactive games. Meanwhile, Ben kept busy with a fantastic mix of fun activities over in the Activity Warehouse, trying out new challenges and getting stuck into all the excitement.

It was a brilliant evening filled with laughter, teamwork, and lots of smiles all around! 😀

💛 Today is World Mental Health Day! 💛

My dog Ivy makes me smile. What makes you smile? Let us know!

is an important reminder to take a moment for yourself and for those around you. Mental health matters every single day — not just today — and reaching out for support is always a sign of strength, never weakness.

Remember, you are never alone. Whether you’re struggling, supporting someone else, or simply taking time to reflect, know that help, understanding, and kindness are always within reach. 💬✨

Let’s keep breaking the stigma, spreading awareness, and reminding each other that it’s okay to not be okay — and even more okay to ask for help. 💚

We are so proud of anyone who needs to hear it🙂

🌟We had a brilliant Disability Training session with HPC partners, preparing for the arrival of their new cohort of trainees.💚

Partners attending included HOST, Atlas, Wilson James, and Turnbull — and we’re proud to share that 100% of participants said the training was useful.

At Discovery Supported Employment, we believe training should go beyond raising awareness. It should offer practical strategies to adapt work practices, break down barriers, and ensure every trainee and employee can access meaningful employment opportunities.

Importantly, our training is designed and delivered by someone with lived experience, bringing real-world insight and authenticity to every session.

It’s shaping up to be a fantastic year for the HPC traineeship, and we’re excited to continue supporting inclusive workplaces where everybody can thrive.💚

🌟 Sophie and Toby are absolutely thriving at their Glastonbury Abbey placement!

Sophie has hit the ground running—she’s already checking in guests like a pro and picking up new Front of House tasks every single day. The team has been incredibly warm and welcoming, and their support has helped Sophie’s confidence blossom beautifully🌟.

Toby’s Abbey adventures happen every Friday, when he teams up with Ian, the head gardener. From day one, Ian and Mark (the head groundsman) spotted something special in Toby. They’re now giving the health and safety docs a makeover so Toby can take on more responsibility and get hands-on with skilled equipment. Big things are blooming for him too 🌱🔧

Every Monday, Steve, Derek, and Phillip roll up their sleeves and join forces with the Frome Town Rangers to keep our community’s green spaces looking their very best.

From clearing leaves and tidying pathways to planting new seedlings and nurturing young plants, they’re hands-on at every stage of the process. Their hard work not only helps our gardens grow but also keeps our shared spaces welcoming, vibrant, and full of life—making Frome a greener town for everyone to enjoy.🍂🌲
