Why Discovery is a place where you don’t have to do it alone💚
Words from our Supported Employment Training Manager, Tatjana Bodman
For a long time, I believed there was something wrong with me. I was often told I was “too much” — too direct, too fast, too intense. Years later, I learned I’m neurodivergent (autistic and ADHD), and suddenly so much of my life made sense. I wasn’t failing — I just needed the right environment.
That’s what makes Discovery different.
At Discovery, I don’t have to hide how my brain works. With understanding, flexibility, and open communication, I can thrive. Often, it’s not about big or expensive adjustments — it’s about feeling safe enough to say, “I need clarity,” “My brain is overloaded,” or “Can you help me prioritise?”
When people are supported properly, the benefits go both ways. Discovery gains people who are committed, values-led, and deeply invested in doing things well. And because I’m supported, I can bring my best — consistently.
I see this every day in my work. When people are understood, they don’t just manage — they grow, they lead, and they create real change.
At Discovery, you don’t have to fit a mould. You’re supported to be yourself, do your best work, and truly belong. 🌟
