We were honoured to conduct the funeral of Donald ‘Donny’ Wilkinson today. Part of the funeral was filmed by the families request. What a lovely tribute to a well loved old town legend who will be very sadly missed.

A loving and much loved mum, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and a good friend to many. Will be sadly missed.

You’re warmly invited to attend the Christmas Memorial Service (Civil Ceremony), led by Helen Davies, on Saturday 13th December at 11am at the East Riding Crematorium, Octon.

This special gathering is a time to come together, remember our loved ones, and find comfort in the warmth of community during the festive season.

During the service, there will be a moment of reflection featuring photos of our loved ones — a gentle and heartfelt way to honour their memory. If you’d like your loved one to be included, please send one photo per loved ones to share. Send your photo by 8th December to eastriding.crematorium@thecmg.co.uk or call into the office at Octon, or here at Ernest Brigham’s.

You’ll also have the opportunity to write and place a star on the Remembrance Tree located in the Book of Remembrance room, creating a beautiful space to reflect and remember.

After the service, please stay for refreshments and a chance to chat and share memories.
The crematorium will also be raising funds for Scope, a charity close to the new leader’s heart which creates an equal future for disabled people.

On the 30th November it’s the Old Town Yuletide Fayre, organised by R.O.B.O.T (Regeneration Of Bridlington Old Town) of which Vicky is the Chair.
There is an amazing Raffle to help raise money so that these events can take place every year.
R.O.B.O.T also organise the Vintage Festival in the summer.
Tickets are £5 a strip and they are available from our office. There are some fantastic prizes on offer!

Will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Service and cremation to take place at The East Riding Crematorium, Octon, on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 at 11.30am.

For anyone who can not make Anne's funeral, then the funeral cortège will go past The Globe, High Street at 11.00am.

Donations in Anne's memory can be left at the service for the Vascular Surgery ward at York Hospital.

Anne's family has asked that people wear bright colours and no suits are to be worn on the day.
