🏍️❤️ A Dream Come True for Jean at The Grange Care Home ❤️🏍️

One of our residents, Jean, mentioned to our senior carer Janet that she had never seen a motorbike up close, let alone sat on one. Janet was determined to make Jean’s wish come true, so she reached out to the local community. With over 250 likes, comments, and messages, people came together to make Jean’s dream a reality.

Paul arrived with his stunning red motorbike, coincidentally the exact same colour as Jean’s walker. The moment Jean saw it, her face lit up with pure joy. It was a memory none of us will ever forget.

Soon after, Horizon Flames bikers crew came together, bringing even more bikes. Our residents and staff were given the chance to get up close, sit on real motorbikes, and even rev the engines. What started as one wish turned into an unforgettable experience for so many.

Thank you to all the bikers who made this possible. You are all amazing. 👏

✨🦄 National Unicorn Day at Rastrick Hall and Grange Care Home! 🦄✨

We had a magical time celebrating National Unicorn Day! Our residents and staff fully embraced the fun by dressing up in colourful tutus, legwarmers, gloves, and unicorn headbands! 🌈

We hosted a friendly baking competition between Top Hall Unit and Bottom Grange Unit, where both teams put their skills to the test making delicious flapjacks. After much careful tasting, our judges crowned Top Hall Unit as the winners. Well done to everyone who took part! 🏆

We also enjoyed a wonderful sensory activity, where residents closed their eyes and guessed mystery items placed in their hands. It sparked lots of laughter, curiosity, and great conversations as everyone tried to work out what they were holding! 🙈

🌼✨ Self Care and Skittles at The Grange Care Home ✨🌼

💅 1-2-1 Activities
Our 1-2-1 pampering sessions were a big hit with our ladies. They were able to sit back, relax and enjoy a little treat while PAL Sally cut, filed and painted their nails in a colour of their choice. There was lots of chatting and reminiscing about the good old days, remembering times when they would get dressed up and head out dancing the night away. 💅💖

The gentlemen also had great fun with a mystery sensory box challenge! There were lots of smiles and laughter as they guessed what might be inside. Bernard had a good laugh when he discovered a fluffy sock, while Mike really enjoyed exploring the box, emptying it and carefully putting everything back again. 🧦😊

🎳 Skittles Competition
We had some friendly competition with our skittles game in the garden lounge. PALs Sally and Fran got everything set up, with Sally arranging the skittles and Fran keeping track of the scores. There were some brilliant throws with a few impressive strikes! After a close competition, Rita and Mabel shared first place as joint champions of the day. 🏆

At The Limes Care Home, our residents love taking the time to recognise team members who truly stand out and shine. This week, our residents have nominated two of our amazing team members.

Peter, for always being happy, caring, and showing so much kindness to everyone in the home. His positive spirit brightens every day and means so much to residents and colleagues alike. 😊

And Claire, a newer member of our team who has fitted in brilliantly. She has quickly become a great help and is already settling in so well with residents and staff alike.🌟

🌷🐣 April Moments at Figham House Care Home 🐣🌷

We've had a busy and joyful Easter period here at Figham House!

We made the most of a lovely sunny day with a gentle walk, and even spotted the Easter Bunny on a boat. A trip into Beverley followed and after some windy weather, a delicious hot chocolate was just what we needed! ☕🐰

To balance out all our Easter treats, we were delighted to welcome Jack for a fun filled fitness session. We had lots of fun as everyone got moving and we are so pleased that Jack will be joining us twice a month for fitness and games to keep everyone active. 💪😊

Music has filled our home this month too. A huge thank you to the talented Coby who travelled all the way from Liverpool to treat us to a beautiful afternoon of classical music on the flute and recorder. 🎶

At our Easter fair, George England brought the energy with a fantastic rock and roll afternoon. There was plenty of singing, dancing and excitement, along with the Easter raffle. A brilliant time was had by all. 🎤💃

We also celebrated John K and Sylvia's birthdays. We had a visit from the lovely Laura on Easter Sunday in celebration of John K’s birthday. It was a fantastic afternoon full of fun and laughter. 🎂💐

Finally a big thank you to everyone who donated to and supported our Easter raffle. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to us all. 🥰

It has been an Easter filled with singing, dancing, laughter and of course plenty of chocolate and delicious treats from our amazing catering team 🍫🍰

🐎🐰 Joyful Moments This April at Cantley Grange 🐰🐎

🐰🍫 Easter Bunny Visit
We had a very special visit from the Easter Bunny, who brought plenty of laughter and a little mischief to our home! Residents were delighted to receive Easter eggs, with many saying it brought back lovely childhood memories and sparked lots of smiles. 🐰🍫

🐎🎉 Grand National
Residents also enjoyed watching the Grand National, each choosing their favourite horse and cheering them on with great enthusiasm! There was lots of friendly competition, excitement, and shouting for their picks as the race unfolded .🐎📣

🤔💭 National Scrabble Day at The Sycamores Care Home 💭🤔

We marked National Scrabble Day with our own friendly Scrabble tournament! There were lots of laughs and healthy competition. Alongside being fun, the game also provides fantastic cognitive benefits, helping to support memory, language skills and concentration in a really enjoyable way.🧠

🏐😊 Fun and Games at The Grange Care Home! 😊🏐

Our residents had a fantastic time getting active and working together as a team. We started with a game using the parachute, adding ten colourful balls on top. The challenge was to keep as many balls on as possible while moving the parachute up and down. 🏐🌈

Next, we moved on to a game of throw and catch with a soft blue ball. There were some fantastic catches and lots of giggles. To finish off, we enjoyed a game of ring toss. A wonderful day enjoyed by all! 🌟

🐣🍫 Easter at Cranswick Lodge Care Home! 🍫🐣

The Easter Bunny was very busy on his rounds at Cranswick Lodge, delivering a tasty chocolate egg to each and every resident! The smiles on everyone’s faces were truly priceless, and it was wonderful to see so much joy shared throughout the home. 🐰🥚

🐣🌸 Easter Fun and Flower Arranging at Foresters Lodge Care Home 🌸🐣

🎤 Easter Party
Our Easter party at Foresters Lodge Care Home was a truly fantastic day! We were treated to a brilliant Elvis tribute from Andy, who had everyone singing, dancing, and thoroughly enjoying the celebrations. We also held a huge Easter raffle and a fun-filled Easter bonnet parade. Of course, no party would be complete without delicious food, which went down a treat with residents and visitors alike. 🍰🥪

🌷 Flower Arranging
We also enjoyed a beautiful flower arranging session, taking in the lovely scents while everyone created their own unique vase displays. A relaxing and sensory experience for all involved. 🌼💐

🐰🌷 Easter at Maple Court Care Home! 🌷🐰

We had a fun filled Easter, with a special visit from the Easter Bunny! Our amazing catering team baked a fantastic selection of delicious Easter cakes, which looked incredible and tasted even better. We held a bake sale, and a big thank you to Jenny who did an absolutely brilliant job at running the stall! 🍰👏
