🎉🎻New Year's Eve at Figham House Care Home🎻🎉

What a wonderful way to see out the year! We were treated to a fabulous afternoon of music from the incredibly talented violinist Louise. From modern favourites to musical classics and tunes that provoked some lovely memories, the home rang out with the beautiful sound of the violin, alongside some enthusiastic singing from our residents!💖🎶

Louise happily took requests, and one very lucky resident even enjoyed a special personal performance.

A truly lovely afternoon and a perfect way to end 2025. Thank you, Louise, for sharing your talent with us! 🥰

🎉Birthday Celebrations at Figham House Care Home!🎉

We’ve started the New Year with not one, but two birthdays!

First up was our lovely Betty, who celebrated her special day quietly in her room. Betty thoroughly enjoyed her birthday cake and kindly shared it with everyone later on💖🥰

Next, we celebrated Peter’s 80th birthday! Peter loved being serenaded by staff and very much enjoyed his birthday cake. 🎂🎈

🎨A Colourful Afternoon at The Sycamores Care Home🎨

At a recent residents’ meeting, one of our lovely residents suggested trying colouring/painting by numbers as a new activity. So we all got together for a relaxed afternoon filled with creativity and conversation.🥰💬

It was wonderful to see residents enjoying the social side of the activity, reminiscing about colouring pictures when they were younger, and feeling proud of their finished masterpieces.💖

Not only was it a fun trip down memory lane, but it also offered great creative, social and cognitive benefits, all while spending quality time together.🖌️

🎈 Balloon Busting Brilliance at Rastrick Hall & Grange Care Home 🎈

Our residents and team had great fun taking part in a balloon bursting challenge – using only their body parts!

Activity Coordinator Sue gave it her all, sitting and bouncing on her balloon (with no luck!), while resident Sue tried hands and feet before finally calling in a pin for backup. Beryl, Edna, Val and Jackie all had a go too, giving everyone plenty of laughs along the way.

The star of the show was Margery, who proudly burst her balloon with her hand and was absolutely chuffed!

🎉✨New Year’s Eve Celebrations at The Sycamores✨🎉

We welcomed the New Year in style with an afternoon tea party, complete with games, karaoke, and a little tipple of sherry or gin and tonic to toast the New Year. 🥂

We also celebrated our lovely resident Jean’s 89th birthday. A huge Happy Birthday to Jean from everyone here at The Sycamores!🎂🎈

🍻🍽️Gentlemen’s Pub Lunch for Cranswick Lodge Care Home🍽️🍻

Our gentlemen enjoyed a wonderful lunch out at the local pub, The White Horse, giving everyone the chance to have a good natter, meet new people, and enjoy a lovely change of scenery. There was great conversation and delicious food, a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon had by all!😊
