🍺✨ Real Ale Tasting at Cranswick Lodge Care Home ✨🍺

Our residents enjoyed a Real Ale Tasting session, sampling a lovely variety of ales sourced from our local farm shop. The ales were perfectly paired with some very moreish Yorkshire Crisps. 😋

Familiar favourites like Black Sheep and Old Peculier were quickly recognised, while there was also plenty of excitement in trying some new brews too. 🍻

It’s safe to say this one went down a treat, and we have a feeling it’s going to become a firm favourite activity at Cranswick Lodge!

🎶 A Musical Afternoon at The Limes Care Home! 🎶

We were delighted to welcome The Driffield Male Voice Choir to perform for our residents, families, and staff. Residents had been looking forward to this special visit all month! They are certainly a favourite within our home. 🎶

There were plenty of smiles and singalongs as the choir performed a beautiful selection of songs. Their rendition of Fix You by Coldplay was especially moving and brought a tear to the eye of many in the room. 🥰🥹

A huge thank you to the choir for sharing their talent and creating such a memorable afternoon for everyone at The Limes. ❤️

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Springfield Manor Care Home in Stoke-on-Trent has officially achieved Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) accreditation — becoming the first home within Highgate Care to receive this prestigious recognition.

This is a landmark moment for our group and marks the beginning of our wider commitment to expanding VFF accreditation across our homes, strengthening the support we provide to veterans living within our communities and local areas.

At Springfield Manor, the team has gone above and beyond to champion veterans through meaningful activities, dedicated events and community partnerships — including a special Veteran Week celebration, visits to The Spitfire Gallery and welcoming veteran organisations into the home.

A huge congratulations to Home Manager, Rebecca Jones, and the entire Springfield Manor team on this fantastic achievement.

“She told me when I visited last week that she loved living here” - Daughter of Resident

It is wonderful to read how much of a positive difference life at The Hawthornes Care Home has made for this resident and her family.

Her daughter shared that after settling in, her mum has been happy at the home, with her mobility, nutrition and social wellbeing all carefully supported along the way.

Thank you to the team at The Hawthornes Care Home for the care, attention and support they continue to provide, helping families feel reassured that their loved one is safe, settled and cared for.

🌞 Sunshine Strolls at Figham House Care Home 🌞

Colin and Activities Coordinator Michelle enjoyed some wonderful 1-1 time together on a beautiful sunny day. ☀️🌼

Colin, who was once an avid hiker, loved being back outdoors surrounded by the flowers, fresh air and nature. During their walk, they stopped at a bench for a rest, where Colin and Michelle chatted away, and were soon joined by friendly passers-by stopping for a conversation too! 😊

It was such a lovely morning, and spending quality 1-1 time doing something a resident enjoys makes these moments even more special. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for more sunny weather so another lovely walk can be planned soon! 🌿

🌞 Fun in the Sun at York House Care Home 🌞

Over the Bank Holiday weekend, many residents enjoyed spending time relaxing in our beautiful gardens, soaking up the sunshine and fresh air. Our team made sure everyone stayed cool and comfortable with some delicious ice creams, which certainly went down a treat! 😊🍦

🎉 Birthday Celebrations at The Grange Care Home 🎉

We’ve recently had two wonderful birthday celebrations here at The Grange! 🥳💕

Firstly, we celebrated Betty’s birthday. Betty told our Senior Carer Janet that all she wished for was a cake, a card, and some flowers, but Janet made sure she received much more! 💐🎂

The team organised a surprise party complete with decorations, music, and dancing. Betty was so happy to celebrate with everyone around her. A huge thank you to Janet for making Betty’s day so special! ❤️

Next up was Maggie, who was so excited for her birthday party! She made a fabulous entrance to her favourite Tina Turner song, Simply The Best, which got everyone in the party spirit! 🎶

Maggie enjoyed delicious food and drinks with fellow residents and staff, followed by a beautiful chocolate birthday cake lovingly made by our wonderful cook Debbie. Everyone gathered to sing Happy Birthday before Maggie blew out her candles surrounded by lots of love and laughter. 🍫🎂

🌸 Spring Fair at The Hawthornes Care Home 🌸

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at our annual Spring Fair, and luckily the sun was shining brightly for us all day long! It was lovely to see residents, relatives, staff, and members of the community coming together for a fun filled afternoon. ☀️

Our stalls were a huge hit:
🎟️ The Tombola had everyone eagerly hoping for a winning ticket
🧁 The Cake Stall was filled with delicious homemade treats that looked and tasted amazing
👗 The Clothes Stall was packed with fabulous finds and bargains

To top off the perfect afternoon, all of our residents enjoyed a delicious cool ice cream in the sunshine. 🍦😎

A huge thank you to everyone who helped out, donated, and came along to support the day. A wonderful time was had by all! 💕

With the sun shining brightly, we made the most of the lovely weather and spent a few relaxing hours out in the garden. With classic 60s music playing in the background, everyone enjoyed singing along, chatting, and basking in the fresh air. 🎶🌿
