💙 Celebrating the Life of Lydia💙

We are paying tribute to our resident Lydia, who sadly passed away aged 107.

From her work at the Royal Ordnance Factory during the Second World War to 70 years of marriage, world travels, and a love of bingo, Lydia lived a truly remarkable life. She will be deeply missed by all at Oaktree Hall and Lodge.

We would like to give a huge congratulations to Sue, our Senior Care Assistant, and Helen, our Deputy Manager, for successfully completing their NVQ qualifications🌟

Although they actually completed their courses last year, we still want to take this opportunity to recognise their hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing high quality care to our residents.

Well done to you both and thank you for everything you do❤️

We had a brilliant time today celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special meal, lots of laughs and plenty of feel-good moments!

After everyone enjoyed their food, the entertainment kicked off… and let’s just say the staff definitely didn’t hold back! There was singing, dancing and some very questionable dance moves that had everyone laughing and clapping along! 🕺🎤😂

It was such a fun afternoon filled with smiles, music and great company. These are the days we love creating and being part of❤️

Last night, members of our team attended the Highgate Care Awards for a wonderful evening celebrating achievements across the care sector🥂

We are incredibly proud of two of our team members who were nominated. A huge congratulations to Mary, who was nominated for Manager of the Year. Although she didn’t take home the award this time, her dedication, leadership, and constant support for both residents and staff make her truly valued and appreciated every single day⭐

A very special congratulations goes to Kelly, who won the Senior Care Assistant Award! This is such a well-deserved achievement and reflects the kindness, compassion, and exceptional care she provides to our residents. We are extremely proud to have her as part of our team🏆

Please join us in congratulating both Mary and Kelly on their amazing achievements aswell as everyone who was nominated for a Highgate Award💙

- Mark (Maintenance)
- Grace (Care Assistant)

with hopefully more staff joining in to support this
great cause.

We would like to share a truly heart-warming act of kindness from a very special little boy called Noah❤️

Although Noah wasn’t able to visit us due to circumstances outside of our control, he still went shopping and thoughtfully bought gifts for all of our residents, simply to spread kindness and Christmas cheer. Noah understands that not everyone has family or friends who are able to visit at this time of year, and his generosity meant so much to everyone here.

I haven’t managed to get photos of everyone with the gifts they got, but I’ve included a few to share just how much this meant to our residents!

Thank you Noah, for your thoughtfulness and compassion❤️
