🥼 Our teaching clinic is an opportunity to experience traditional Chinese medicine and five element acupuncture under the care of an excellent team of practitioners for a lower investment.

🤓 In the teaching clinic patients are treated by college students in their third and final year of training. They work under the close supervision of senior staff.

Easyo 3 is a short black and white detector. Bringing the black or white tip closer to the ear, allows the identification of pathological point

Easyo 4 is a North/South detector. It is used for identifying the point and diagnosing its energy value. For example, the NORTH pole can give a positive RAC in the case of tissue disorganisation, while the SOUTH pole can react on allergy points.

Leaping the Dragon Gate.

To all ICOM students undertaking their final examinations this week: you are nearing the end of a significant journey.

In Chinese mythology, Longmen (the Dragon Gate) is a waterfall at the top of a mighty river.

▫️Many carp swim upstream against the current, determined to make the final leap.

▫️Those who succeed are transformed into dragons.

▫️This story has long been associated with the challenges of academic achievements.

In classical thought, the student preparing for exams is likened to the carp approaching the waterfall; exhausted, tested, but on the threshold of transformation.

As you face these final days, know that your persistence, courage, and dedication have brought you to the gate. The leap is demanding, but it leads to something greater.

Elevate your practice!

Northwich in Cheshire is the home of the iconic Anderton Boat Lift, perched on the banks of the River Weaver like a giant three-storey high iron spider. It was built by Edwin Clark in 1875 to lift cargo boats the 50 feet from the River Weaver to the Trent & Mersey Canal.

Northwich is also home to the British Medical Acupuncture Society, and we're passionate about elevating health and wellbeing through medical acupuncture. We're not quite as old as the boat lift, but we do have long history of teaching and promoting the use of acupuncture within mainstream healthcare. We're built on strong and sturdy principles of safety and evidence-based medicine and, like the boat lift, have really stood the test of time.
