Do all our classes start and end the same? 🤔

If you’ve been to our classes you might have noticed that we begin with the same three and finish with the same two songs, no matter the theme, and there’s a good reason why we do this!

It creates repetition and routine! Which ultimately makes our class a safe and predictable space for your child🤍 It also creates clear cues that help little ones understand transitions. The familiar songs signal “it’s time to begin” or “class is ending,” which builds their sense of security and supports emotional regulation. 🌱

Saturday Maggie Moo took us all down “udder” to the Australian Jungle 🇦🇺

We entered in style and got to know our camp mates through song, bug hunts and a dance! We learnt about all the animals you can find in Australia 🦘 and even took a ‘nap’ before cooking sausages on the campfire 🔥

Through all this fun and play little ones have:
❤️ Expanded their knowledge on the types of transport in the world
🧡 Practised their fine motor skills and developed skills ready to use a pincer grip
💛 Learnt about the concept of fast and slow while keeping a rhythm
💚 Aided their physical development by mirroring a simple dance
💙 Enhanced their ability to match shapes by listening to descriptive words
💜 Developed their focus, attention and listening skills
🩷 Practiced skills such as sharing, turn taking and listening then doing

Picnic with Pudsey💛

Today Maggie had Pudsey Bear visit the farm for a picnic with some of her animal friends! 🧺

While we played we have learnt:
❤️ How different textures feel when we touch them with our hands or feet
🧡 A way in which to regulate our body through calming sensory experiences
💛 How to identify animals by their significant features using descriptive language and images
💚 Developed our memory and recall skills through listening and doing activities
💙 Improved our listening skills and understanding of two-step instructions
💜 Gained social skills by sharing and playing alongside others

Is Moo like a Stay and Play…? 🧸

In short, no! While stay and play classes are usually free-flowing where little ones can explore and play at their own pace our classes are much more structured.

Moo Music designs their classes so your child will develop and learn throughout its entirety 🌱
All of our classes use 13 of our original songs, starting and ending with the same handful of songs - because children thrive off structure and repetition. 🙌🏼

Each of the songs we use have an activity attached to it that is created to support your little ones development. These vary from music making freely 🥁 to listening to the words of a song in order to complete a matching game 👏🏻
No activity is repeated within a class and there is a quick pace between each one - mirroring your child’s attention span!

Both stay and play and structured classes like Moo Music have a place in your child’s journey, it’s all about finding which one (or both) are right for you🤍
