We're honoured to share that the charity INQUEST has referenced Henry's story in their submission to the Joint Parliamentary Inquiry into Children and Young People's Mental Health.

This inquiry, launched in February 2026 by the Education and Health and Social Care Committees, is examining the mental health support available to children and young people up to age 25 - including access to CAMHS, support for those with SEND and ADHD, and whether help is reaching young people before crisis point.

INQUEST's submission focuses on the outcomes of inquests to highlight failures across mental health care. The fact that Henry's experience is being put before Parliament as part of this evidence shows that his story continues to drive real change.

We've also been invited to submit our own evidence as a bereaved family, and we intend to do so. If your family has been affected by failures in children's mental health services, the inquiry is actively seeking to hear from bereaved families too.

Henry's legacy is not just about remembering him - it's about making sure no other family goes through what we did.

Friday night was one of the hardest and most meaningful things I've ever done. I gave a speech at the Moonlight Ball and spoke about our son Henry, and the care that Forget Me Not gave our family after we lost him in April 2024.

I wanted people in that room to understand what this hospice gave us - time, dignity and stillness when our world had been shattered. Those hours with Henry changed the shape of our grief and held our family together.

The evening raised an incredible £73,159 and I'm so grateful to everyone who was there, who listened, and who gave so generously. Every penny will help another family receive the same care that meant everything to us.

For Henry, always.

What an incredible evening. Last night I had the honour of speaking at The Moonlight Ball at Hazlewood Castle, hosted by Forget Me Not Children's Hospice.

I spoke about Henry, about our family's journey, and about why the work this hospice does matters so much. Every year, 60-70 children under 18 in West Yorkshire die suddenly from accidents, illness and fires. Forget Me Not supported 41 families last year and helped 81 individual family members through bereavement support, counselling and therapies. It costs £122,000 a year to run this service.

Standing up there and sharing our story is never easy, but the response last night reminded me why we do it. The room was full of people who care deeply, and that gives me so much hope.

Thank you to everyone who was there, to the incredible team at Forget Me Not, and to Chad for always standing beside me.

Light up the night.

A proud moment for Henry’s legacy.

Last week in Las Vegas, Scotland Rugby League Men’s Team wore Henry Grierson Foundation warm-up shirts ahead of their match against the USA Hawks.

The support went even further, with the Henry Grierson Foundation logo also appearing on the back of the official Scotland playing kits for the Men’s, Women’s and U19s teams during the tournament.

Seeing players on an international stage helping raise awareness for ADHD, mental health, addiction and su***de prevention in young people means a great deal to our family and to everyone supporting this mission.

Sport has the power to start conversations that matter and conversations like these can save lives.

A huge thank you to Scotland Rugby League, the players and staff (especially Marie & Mark Milnes and Barry McGuffog) for standing with us and helping shine a light on an issue affecting so many young people.

Henry loved sport, music and life lived at full volume.
We’re determined his story will help make a difference for others.

Please share and sign petition. Henry's college informed him by email that he was permanently excluded after a meeting during which his neurodiversity was not considered. He took his life 3 days later. Whilst we can't bring him back we can try to create a change. Helena's story as told by her Dad Glen is not the same but bears striking similarities. Please support them on their mission for change following tragedy.

I went to Parliament to make sure Henry’s story, and the voices of every family living through the challenge of ADHD, were heard.
ADHD isn’t bad behaviour. It’s a different way of thinking and learning.
We need understanding, not punishment.
