The Positive P’s in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy ✨
In Solution Focused Hypnotherapy we often talk about the Positive P’s – simple but powerful ways that can support your mental wellbeing and help your brain stay in a healthier, calmer state.
When life feels stressful, these small habits can make a big difference.
🌱 Positive Purpose
Having something meaningful to do gives the brain direction and motivation. It doesn’t have to be big — small purposeful activities can lift mood and create a sense of achievement.
Examples:
✔️ Gardening or looking after plants
✔️ Planning a holiday or day trip
✔️ Starting a small project at home
✔️ Learning a new skill or hobby
🤝 Positive Interactions
Spending time with people who make you feel comfortable and supported helps the brain release positive chemicals and reduces stress.
Examples:
✔️ Meeting a friend for coffee
✔️ Talking with family members you enjoy being around
✔️ Sharing a laugh with colleagues
✔️ Spending time with supportive, uplifting people
💭 Positive Thinking
This doesn’t mean ignoring problems — it means helping the brain look for solutions, possibilities and what is going well.
Examples:
✔️ “What went well today?”
✔️ “What small step could improve this situation?”
✔️ “What have I handled well before that could help now?”
✔️ Focusing on progress rather than perfection
In hypnotherapy we help train the brain to notice these positives more often. Over time, this supports the brain in building stronger, healthier thinking patterns.
Small positive actions, repeated regularly, can create powerful changes in how we feel.

I was so touched to receive this kind feedback from a client recently. 🥰This client came for a phobia of flying and just not quite feeling themselves. After a handful of sessions and some effort between sessions they made huge improvements. Has your world started to feel smaller?

Avoiding things you used to do…
Saying no more often…
Letting fear quietly shape your life…

It can happen so gradually you don’t even realise it.

But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

Whether it’s a fear of flying, driving, social situations or something else , change is possible.

Hypnotherapy can help you gently retrain your mind, so you can feel calmer, more in control, and start saying yes to life again.

✨ You deserve a life that feels open, not limited.

Gratitude Mindset
What if feeling more grateful didn’t require changing your life…but simply changing your mindset?
Many of us spend so much time focusing on what’s missing that we overlook what’s already good in our lives.
But gratitude is not about pretending everything is perfect.
It’s about training the mind to notice the good alongside the challenges.
When we practice gratitude, our brain begins to focus more on positive experiences, which can improve mood, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
However, if stress, anxiety, or negative self-talk are deeply rooted in the subconscious mind, gratitude can feel difficult.
This is where hypnotherapy can help.
By gently working with the subconscious mind, hypnotherapy can help shift limiting beliefs and reduce the stress patterns that block positive thinking.
When those patterns change, gratitude and calm can begin to feel more natural.
You deserve to feel more peace, balance, and appreciation in your life.

Gratitude & the Brain
✨ Did you know practicing gratitude can actually change your brain?
Gratitude isn’t just a positive habit, it has real effects on the brain and body.
Research shows that regularly practicing gratitude can:
🌿 Increase dopamine and serotonin, the brain’s “feel-good” chemicals🧠 Strengthen neural pathways linked to positive thinking💛 Reduce stress and calm the nervous system
But when we feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in negative thinking, it can be difficult to access feelings of gratitude.
This is where hypnotherapy can help.
Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind, helping to release limiting beliefs, reduce stress, and gently retrain negative thought patterns.
When the mind becomes calmer and more balanced, it becomes easier to notice the positive things in life and naturally feel more grateful.
Gratitude becomes less of an effort and more of a natural mindset.

3 simple ways to boost your happy hormones today 👇

Your brain produces natural feel-good chemicals every day and small habits can help trigger them.
Try this:

🤝 Connect with someone, hugs and meaningful conversation increase oxytocin
☀️ Get sunlight – natural light supports serotonin production
And one more powerful tool many people overlook…
🧠 Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy helps calm the nervous system and reprogram subconscious patterns that contribute to stress and negative thinking — helping your brain return to a more balanced state where happy hormones can flow naturally.
Small changes in the mind can create powerful changes in how you feel.

What if feeling happier wasn’t about changing your life… but changing your mindset?

Happiness isn’t something reserved for special moments.
Your brain is constantly producing chemicals that influence how you feel. The amazing thing is — your thoughts, beliefs, and emotional state influence those chemicals.
When the mind is calm and focused, the brain is more likely to release dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin and endorphins.
But many of us carry subconscious patterns that keep us stuck in stress, worry, or self-doubt.
Hypnotherapy helps gently retrain those patterns.
By accessing the subconscious mind, we can shift the inner dialogue that shapes your emotions — helping your mind support your wellbeing instead of working against it.
You deserve to feel good in your own mind.

✨ Did you know your brain has its own natural “happy chemicals”?
Your body produces four key happy hormones that influence how you feel every day:
• Dopamine – the reward and motivation hormone• Serotonin – boosts mood and emotional balance• Oxytocin – the connection and bonding hormone• Endorphins – natural pain relievers that create feelings of joy
But stress, negative thought patterns, and burnout can block these chemicals from flowing naturally.
This is where hypnotherapy can help.
By relaxing the mind and working with the subconscious, hypnotherapy can help release limiting beliefs, reduce stress, and support healthier thought patterns , creating the conditions your brain needs to produce more of these feel good hormones naturally.
Your mind is powerful. When it feels safe and calm, your body responds.

Your brain isn't designed to make you happy - it's designed to keep you safe.
That means it naturally looks for problems. But the good news? You can train it to look for something different.
The brain loves repetition and doesn't know the difference between imagination and reality - what you repeatedly tell it, it believes.
So if your thoughts can make you feel low, anxious, or overwhelmed, they can also be used to help you feel calmer, stronger, and more in control.
By noticing the small things that feel good, how you act, how you connect with others, and especially how you speak to yourself, you can begin to rewire your brain to focus on the positives.
Hypnotherapy works with this natural ability of the mind to help you create lasting change.

Your brain is a prediction machine.

Its job is to keep you safe.

So when stress shows up, your nervous system switches into fight or flight. That response once protected us from real danger - but today, it's triggered by deadlines, pressure, and constant demands.
Your body doesn't know the difference, so it reacts the same way.
When stress becomes ongoing, the nervous system can get stuck in survival mode. This can affect digestion, hormones, immunity, focus, and sleep - leaving you feeling on edge, exhausted, and unable to switch off.
When the body feels safe, it can relax.
When the nervous system settles, the mind
can respond differently.
Hypnotherapy helps you move out of survival mode and back into calm, balance, and clarity.
If this resonates, you don't have to manage it alone.
