YoungMindz UK was established in 2013 by Katie Cody, an accredited Connected Kids Tutor, with a Montessori background, experience on a daily basis with SEN children, young people and families, an holistic therapist and Mum to two. YoungMindz is a child led education practice dedicated to offering holistic support for the emotional intelligence development across all ages. Fully inclusive, our ethos is that the whole child matters and no one size fits all. We work with all children and young people of all ages, stages and abilities. We work with adults that work with children, parents, carers, teachers and educators. We also teach adults wishing to teach and train children the Connected Kids programme

Also, offering adult only sessions to help develop relationships with themselves and others, to learn to reflect without judgement and blame and reconnect to their own inner child, build and maintaining their own resilience levels.

Relentless, that’s how I’d describe sole parenting. Relentlessly demanding, relentless responsibility, relentlessly challenging. Relentlessly laughing, relentlessly inspiring, relentlessly loving, relentlessly striving, growing, empowering, mindblowingly awesome. Yes I get the hard times to figure out alone, but that is far outweighed by the awesome, hilarious, up times and the unbreakable bond that is us 3.

It’s been an absolute ride that I’m not ready to get off. Prospect of it all being different come September - always bonded, just with stretchier glue!

If someone had said to me a month ago this was how March would roll out I’d’ve laughed, saying “surely not, no one can be that nasty, life couldn’t be that intense”. But they were and it is.

Today I’m sat here, grateful.

☀️Grateful my babies may be raw but growing.

☀️Grateful my workplace family step up and holdspace.

☀️Grateful the schools my babies attend have held my babies close whilst I had to get ducks in a row.

☀️Grateful my circle are my circle and squeezed harder.

☀️Grateful I am sat here right now, home!

Established in 2013 by Katie Duffy an accredited Connected Kids Tutor with a Montessori background, holistic therapist and mum to two, Young Mindz is a child led education organisation dedicated to offering holistic support for the emotional intelligence development across all ages. We are fully inclusive, and work on the principle that the whole child matters and that there is no one size that fits all.
