Dear Parents,
Thank you so much for the positive response to my previous post. I truly appreciate your encouragement and kind words.
I wanted to share a few thoughts about Chrysalis—how it began and our hopes for its future.
When my son was nine months old, I wanted him to experience being part of a community while still under my care. From that wish, I created a Montessori parent, infant, and toddler space—one rooted in connection, observation, and shared experience.
Chrysalis was very much a project of the heart. It was supported by other passionate Montessori practitioners who were keen to explore the power of high-quality early years practice beyond the classroom. It is something that will always be dear to me, as it offered profound insight into how families connect with one another and how a small, intentional community can have a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
This experience inspired me to embark on a BA programme and to conduct my final research project on the impact of guided observation within a Montessori community.
At present, my dream is to create the space and time for people to continue connecting. I call it a dream for now, because a community is not something that can be fully planned or predicted. It arises organically when the ground is carefully prepared. It comes alive through a shared vision—held and nurtured by a group of people.
In January, we will be holding private viewings for families who would like to see the space and learn more about the vision behind Chrysalis.

Dear Parents,
I am Roxana and I will soon be opening the doors to a micro Montessori nursery in Fiveways, Brighton.

This has been my dream for over 10 years when I started my Montessori Diploma.

I have since dedicated my energy to learning more about early childhood and gained a BA (Graduate Practitioner).

I will be working with my colleague who is also a graduate Montessori guide in delivering a bespoke programme for children aged 2 - 5 years old.

We only have 6 children from Monday- Thursday so spaces are limited.

We will be welcoming viewings in January for those interested.

We are really excited to hold a Festive Open Day this Saturday for our soon to Open Montessori Micro Nursery.

In our Fiveways home-from-home, Chrysalis welcomes a small, mixed-age group of children aged 2 to 5 years old each day. From here, our loving Montessori Guides offer personalised care in a calm, creative space optimised for young children.

From the free-flow garden and beautifully curated Montessori playroom, to our nourishing weekly menu, everything we do supports independence, joyful exploration and emotional regulation.

Our children move freely through a rich daily rhythm: baking, dancing, gardening, exploring the local area and enjoying celebrations with our parent community, and more.

6 children per day, aged 2 to 5 years old

Dear friends,

Sadly, I won't be able to offer the parent/ child sessions any longer.
With a very dear colleague leaving us for personal reasons, I sadly have to resume this.
I am also embarking onto a play therapy course with APAC( Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy ) in association with Chichester University, so Fridays will be my practice days in the near future.
The last sessions will be this Friday.
We will also have some people from the Sussex baby lab to talk to you about their very exciting research projects.
In the meantime, we are available for nursery tours.

Dear Parents,
It was very exciting getting to know the first families that are joining us in January 2026.
We are still holding private viewings at our home based micro nursery.
I am sharing a recent review from one of our visiting below
"I visited a new Montessori home based nursery in Fiveways last week and wanted to share how incredibly lovely it is (I signed my daughter up immediately!). The setting opens in January in a newly renovated, purpose built space within the owners home (think low level sinks, toilets and beautiful light filled play spaces). It’s the best of both worlds - everything you’d get from a nursery with the cosiness of being in a home. It’s run by 3 highly qualified & experienced educators (all degree level, multilingual) who have always dreamed of their own setting together. These guys are so incredibly passionate about what they do. The nursery will have just 7 children per day, so the ratios are unusually high. They take children from around 2.5/3. The set up is beautiful, as you’d expect from a Montessori space, and you immediately see how calm and individualised the children’s experience will be. They are currently recruiting for a Jan start. All details are on their website and they’re currently booking private tours."

We will have our first session at our new location- Our home based nursery setting.
We can't wait to welcome some of you back and meet some new people.
This session is dedicated to little people, from when they start walking until 3 years old.
Come and play together. We’ve handpicked quality natural materials and plenty of fun activities, which will adapt and offer new inspiration and challenge as we get to know you. - Young children are free to roam and follow their curiosity and meet new friends. - Parents are invited to find out more about the Montessori philosophy and observe their children’s interests. - There will be healthy snacks which some children can help to prepare and songs and stories as well as the free play time.
